The Cowon A2: Media Machine From The Future
🕑 Added 2019-01-13 23:31:55 +0000 UTCA look at one of my favorite gadgets of the past 20 years - the Cowon A2 multimedia recorder/player. I have used this tiny workhorse for so many projects over the years, and I really wish that products were this well designed and ergonomic today. Enjoy!

After watching this my YT suggestions had a Cowon or two review videos in it :D

Oh ok, Thanks Fran for the reply.
I would agree that the ergonomics of electronic devices have take a downhill slide of over the last few years. Same is true of computer software, for example programs that have no visible menu but require you to click some unidenitifiable blip or squiggle instead. Just seems to be change for the sake of change, and no ther reason. If it works.. leave it alone!
I love and miss electronics like this: physical buttons, lots of useful and novel features. Now everything is an App, but touch UIs are frustrating for many reasons. I carried a SanDisk MP3 player until the battery died, even after I got my first smartphone.

It seems rather like the younger, more capable brothers of my River P7 multimedia player. I got it so I could watch videos on long flights.

It was re-uploaded with a new link location.

It just has bad reception.

I think I prefer that better than the ipods/ipod touch back then. Does it have a wifi on it?
Dane
It might be a YT setting.. I commented when video was unlisted.

Fran, Why are you removing my YouTube comments.?
I miss pushity and clickity buttons, too.

Detangle and plug in a set of earbuds and try the radio. Some devices like this use the headphone common as an antenna. Also, you can get replacement batteries. I don't have the URL handy, but let me know and I'll look it up for you. Cheers Fran!!

Makes me ask what are they making now in Korea!
It's weird - looks ahead for its time, and at the same time retro 70s
Didn't know this one - looks almost like a smartphone
