Oh I was so tempted to copy you with mine. If I had a workbench I would have but the trouble to set up and tear down stops me cold. I love that mod, though, and always thought the thing should have been setup like that. I'd like to see the square area light up white when the bosun's call goes off, too.

I challenge you to build a star trek next gen tricorder, arduino controlled, 3d printed case and led lights. Sounds for extra bonus credit =). Btw good job on the adam savage project, the last week red alert gadget and the glow in the dark t-shirt.

I live with six cats and, if I leave the sound on, mine goes off all night as they roam about. But a child friend who visits mischievously switches it to red alert whenever she visits. I think I'll modify mine, too!

Now, if you can just get Scotty to respond...

Nice hack to improve the panel. Thanks for sharing, Fran.

Nice video, good job! I had modified a tricorder replica in the past, it did very well, but you could do much better with real sensors. You have the skills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDPeio2BNaE

If it were necessary to regret anything in life, which thankfully it isn't. It would be to regret the time spent on useful projects, which could better have been spent on pointless ones!
