UK Royal Mail: Buy your own tape, post boxes, string . in fact everything, then they charge you the earth to send it. You are really lucky in the US to have had freebies for so long. I guess it had to end eventually- much to your disagreement. At least yo have some tape left. I suggest you preserve it for posterity, and use brown parcel tape- 2 rolls for a quid (£1) in the UK.- it may have some value one day as an exhibition piece (haha)

Hey Fran do you by any chance do enough volume that you can deal with the BMEU (Business Mail Entry Unit) at your local post office or SCF (Sectional Sort Facility)? If you can get to enough volume to deal with this counter, you will find that your customer experience with the post office goes up by a factor of maybe 100x, and absolutely any supplies that you legitimately need for mailing are at your disposal.

What the heck, free packing tape? And boxes? Why would any postal company give away packaging stuff for free? Sounds crazy.

Imagine the poor guy who finally uses up the last of the toilet paper he bought in 2020, September 2058.

Just go to a big post office and steal a roll from the dispenser there! Just kidding. You do know that the new Postmaster General is a lackey of Mar-A-Lago Mussolini, and was put there to destroy the Post Office, so that it can then be said that it would be more efficient to privatize it. What do you think that the latest decision to limit postal carrier hours, and tell them that if mail is too much of a hassle for them to deliver, then don't deliver it right away. Just another ploy for the Liar-In-Chief to destroy the country, and possibly the world!
