🕑 Added 2022-03-30 20:03:18 +0000 UTCAnother rare orphan display from IEE that sought to offer an affordable (and possible) option for a digital display that looks like it's LED but is in fact incandescent. A fraction of the power requirements of what an LED equivalent would have been in the mid-70's, but strangely designed to be non-serviceable. A brief stop-gap measure on the way to cheap high brightness LED displays that came a decade later. Enjoy!

Nifty display. I wonder if a female crimp spade connector would work instead of soldering the leads to the display. If so, it would make replacing it easer. Thanks for sharing Fran.

Fran, maybe they were not replaceable because the bulbs were under powered and going to last a long time?
