Excellent little experiment. Thank you! I experiment with HV and plasma so I'm grabbing one of these meters.

Wasn't there a big warning about our shrinking ozone layer around the Earth at one point? I don't know what they are used for, but I see dedicated ozone generators show up in the scrap when they empty a lab. I put one on my desk out of curiosity and the smell was kind of like what I would smell in an electrical storm. I just don't know what benefits an ozone generator would have in an electronics lab. Does it eliminate static electricity? If so, I can see where labs would want to decrease static as much as possible. Otherwise, they just sit on workstations and are about the size of you solder fume eliminator. I just don't know what advantages an ozone generator provides. They can be very expensive as well.
