Can You Really Put Frets On A Theremin???

No, the geometry of the field is different from a stringed instrument. When you put a fret right up against the bridge you do not get a note, but in the Theremin you do, etc....

Experienced players must have a kind of model in their heads and bodies of the locations of notes in space. To have a physical expression of that would be beautiful!

If you put a guitar neck the right distance from it, with the frets correlate to pitch? Or is the whole proportionality of frequency different for theremins than for vibrating strings? I've only started watching. I'm all agog.
