I have done that many times with cassette and 8-track players, only use "super glue" to stick it back together. Won't last forever, but will last a LONG time!
Fran, you might be able to shorten the O-ring by cutting it, trimming a tiny portion, then melting the two ends and sticking them together. Iβve seen other people do that. Hang in there, Pee-Wee! Youβre in good hands!
