Doesn't regret help you to learn? If you regret that time in the past when you burned your hand on on a hot stove, then you'll be more careful in the future. Maybe regret isn't the best term for that. Maybe it's more like you have regret about a past incident, then learn something from it, then you no longer regret it. Anyway, I agree with the main thrust of your post--that it's useless to wish you could change the past without realizing that the past is what shaped your present self. I wonder if I will regret posting this comment?🤔😉
