You seemed surprised about someone giving you 50 subscriptions and asked if it's possible. I see this all the time while watching live gaming feeds. People watching will go 50, 100, 200 subscriptions, like they are trying to one-up one another. I have no idea if they actually carry out on them, it simply doesn't seem plausible.

IMHO it's far beyond other YouTube channels you're competing with nowadays. Networks are all going streaming subscription. No more is paying for Internet and a bundled chunk of channels getting much. But go outside that and it's $40/mo here, $20/mo there, ad nauseum. On top of that, like you said, we're all paying 3-4 times more for things than 6 years ago..

Hi, Fran. I got in late but I'm a patron at $10 I believe. I don't know if this has been suggested yet but I would definitely pay for a structured course in electronics, much as I pay monthly guitar ant piano lessons.

I'd join in a chat. Just never thought of doing that because I'm used to you either doing presentations or live. But tbh I don't see Patreon that way - the chat groups I'm on are mostly on Discord, though I despise that it's proprietary. I guess eevblog is the most succesful one that isn't
