Not only swap the guts out, redesign the PCB and make replacments. Shouldn't be too hard...

Fran's home for wayward plastic clocks.... or the island of misfit Lumitimes.

Clean it and keep it running!

The same thing happens with the Mr. Carlson Lab series

It's like she's collecting Lumitime Pokemon, and also running a hospital for them! Or is it Tamagotchi? I always get them confused.

My remember my grandad and grandmother having a Lumitime on their bedside table when I was very young. It was one of the larger brown and woodgrain looking ones. I believe it had a radio in it aswell. Im going to go see if I can dig it out of the attic. I know its there bc grandad never would have threw away anything which cost so much lol. Maybe I can fix it. Or send it to Fran as a gift!

Unintended consequences....

Exactly - clocks are intended to keep time. Use 'em while 'ya got 'em.

For the Japanese models there would be 50/60hz selector gears that could be swapped out for their dual standard power.

Don't underestimate the Franlab effect in driving prices up!

It'll be so sad when all of these Lumitime clocks have deteriorated past the point of no return. At least this one was well-used and enjoyed.

My guess would be a fuse holder.

What's behind that little door/panel on the back of the clock?
