🕑 Added 2024-01-27 22:38:28 +0000 UTCAnother TEClite display, this one bought just because it looked like it would be cool - and it is! Really a piece of beautiful design from a time when reliability and ruggedness really mattered. Enjoy!

Beautifully constructed, the use of dry reeds a precursor to the hall-effect switches some gaming keyboards use. I figure hook this up to a RPi Pico and create a Simon game, trigger midi playback, or just cool-looking blinkin' lights

Oooh, the price must have gone up due to the Fran Effect. π

I paid $15 for mine. Probably worth about that.

Itβs listed at $45, and they sent me a 15% off offer today. So maybe they want it gone. :)

There is another one of these on eBay, with two blue buttons instead of yellow. Iβve been watching it since this video went public. I was tempted to grab it, but I really have too much junk already. Maybe somebody else here desperately needs one?

Very nice device! I use acetone and a few q-tips to remove the thread locking coating from setscrews in gear trains in aircraft instruments and for devices like you have. So far, I have had no problems removing the stuff using acetone. It takes some patience sometimes, but it has always worked me so for.

Interesting. I see a magnet on the opaque button. Is it fully opaque or is there a lamp under that button as well?

I love the way the curvy traces seem to flow to the centre.

Cool! I love the mini fresnel lenses. I wonder how and what that was used for??
