Weather permitting, maybe a park would be a good gathering spot. Then, if the group is the right size, head for a coffee shop or restaurant. If it's larger, continue in the park.

It's not impossible but not likely a distance for me. But I imagine it would be nice to hang with you, Fran.

I'm too far away and reclusive to attend. I'm reluctant to attend events at my local maker space, but somehow have a great time despite myself.

Definitely take pre-registrations + a few extra for no-shows and only share the location and time privately to them so you don't get inundated on the day

Will there be cheesesteaks?

Sounds like fun, but won't be in/near Philly in near future!

If only there wasnt an ocean in the way...and im a poor nerdy engineer ...hahaha

Something like that, yea.

Mostly announcing a day before a location and time such as a pub.

I don't know how Clive does it but we'll do it the Philly way...

Don't Do It!

Ok, the cheapest flight I can find from Leeds, Yorkshire, England to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA is £972. If it were a smidgen cheaper I'd be right there.

Sounds awesome. Wish I was a little closer, as a geeky recluse from Ohio. If this ever became a regular thing I'd totally schedule trips around it. Don't worry tho I'll stay home for now lol. Also tbh you can schedule joy by planning to take molly :p

So more the BigClive format of meetups then?
Bob Pockney
I'd not thought about this, but you have a good point. I periodically go to classical concerts, but although pre-booked, I don't pay much attention to what the performance is. The joy then is the unknowing of what I'll experience. I hope it comes off, supposedly 38 definites !
