I have several Gmail accounts in an attempt to keep the crap out. The paid account is the one that’s full of garbage so I miss your posts there. I’ve been paying for years but probably added the free one using my normal, junk free email acct. Sorry but at least you should know the phone number posted with the credit card charge is no good!!!

Any attemp to go to patreon seems to be for people like you and not for us. I don't know how to cancel the patreon charge so I can then get one that works to you.

My credit card is being charged $3.14 every month. The charge is to patreon. when I follow link to provider it gives a link to the website which goes to yours but the phone number they list is not in service. What do you think is going on?

i've been charge $ 3.14 every month for this year and the past full year 2023. for the last few months, you have me as FREE and have not let me view your posts. There is no way for me to contact patreon. Seems like they only talk to people on your side of the business. I've had my credit card company back out the charges for the last 7 months. How do I correct this????

Yes. The app is just another way to access Patreon, because many people like the convenience of phone apps instead of a web browser. The website does exactly the same thing and bypasses Apple entirely. I don't use the app and instead get an email alert of a new Patreon post whcih takes me to the Patreon website where I watch the content and post this message now.

Thanks. Great idea. I’ll try that. I thought that part of the reason for using the Patreon app was that you got early and exclusive access to the latest videos. I guess if I continue to give financial support via Patreon but not use the Apple app Fran (and others I support) will get the full amount I give and I will still be able to watch all of their output directly through their websites?

OK. So how can I watch you without that loss to my Patreon donation that supports you? I use iPhone, iPad and Mac. How can I not use the Patreon app supplied by Apple?

No, it is not that I get charged from you watching through Patreon - if you have the Apple Patreon App installed on your phone then Apple takes 30% of your donation off the top.

Hi Fran. I currently pay you £2 a month via Patreon but I am currently not watching you through Patreon as you said that you were being charged a large percentage of that income every time we do. How can I watch you without you losing so much without using the Patreon app? Also, do you know if this loss of funds will occur for everyone I donate too and follow via Patreon? I Love your videos by the way.

I hear you Fran, but here in the UK we are going through a very difficult time. Funds are in short supply with many people of my age group losing their winter fuel allowance, i will wait and see what happens in the budget at the end of October before i commit myself to a payment that i have to cancel
