Really interesting, Fran. What a beautiful spirit. Regarding, "I buried Paul", in all the decades I've listened to Strawberry Fields, I thought John was saying, "I'm Very Slow", which fit because that phrase sounded like it was at half-speed. Thanks though; nice tribute, and I'm very sorry for your loss of a good friend.

This was beautiful, Fran. Thank you. I had a long day on Thursday and came home to an email from Jill's label announcing her death, and I had a long, ugly cry --- and I didn't know her! If that's how her death hit me, I can't imagine how hard this was for you and her friends. And yes, as you said, there is something unspeakably cruel about the way she died, especially considering how kind she was. May her memory be a blessing. I think it will be for everyone.
