Cool exploration! If it were mine, I'd try re-capping the analog audio signal path to see if that would improve the speech clarity

Very cool. I recall buying a Speak-&-Spell for my niece from that era and was "amazed" that it talked! Voice on a chip! How easily we were amused. I wonder what the Sears Talking Machine retailed for back in the day? Probably not cheap. I just Googled the Speak & Spell. It's still made. Only $18.99 at Walmart. Now we have AI video that is hard to tell from the real thing. Great video! Thanks!
