I had the honor, and privilege, to see this at the lockheed imax theater at the air & space museum in dc -- after listening to this review -- and I must say this has to be the best comedy of 2018. I could not stop laughing throughout the entire thing. The Russian submarine / african american techno pirate plot was hilarious. I liked the low-key critique on crowd behavior and environmental destruction. I'd call this a cute movie -- not just because Aquaman's adorable eyes -- but also because the Italian scene, and even the Black Manta was adorable with those big red eyes, silly thing. My prediction: comedy of 2018 award, best supporting actor (Willelm Defoe / Dolph Lundgren), and best contemporary actor (Jason Samosas).
