Sometime around 2004, I was hired to play lead guitar on a country-rock record; the studio was semi-legally built in an empty corner of a shut-down warehouse near the riverfront, and there were no lights in the bathroom, so you had to be careful not to piss on the mains transformer. I had the pleasure of borrowing 1965 Fender Bassman on that album, the loudest clean amp I've ever heard in my life, and the whole thing was recorded, by god, on the same mixing desk used to make C.W. McCall's "Convoy."
