Update: On Monday, 5/5/25, felony charges against the students have been dropped! TAHRIR Coalition has clarified that Nessel's office is still pursuing misdemeanors for two other students, with this being related to the encampment from months and months earlier.

This is such a clear violation of the student's legal rights. I have to imagine that civil damages are going to be part of what follows these actions. A real abuse of power by Nessel.
