The reason you were 'wrong' and 'shocked' is because you are consistently wrong. Wrong in your analysis on everything and especially on the Democratic Party, Trump, Syria, Ukraine, Russia, the US economy, etc. etc. It's pathetic.

War Nerd claimed at the outset of the Ukraine war that Ukraine's military was just a loose confederation of local militias that would not last long against the great Russian armed forces. Now they pretend like they never said that and recast Russia as some sort of slow starter/fast learner that has now mastered US weapons systems and is winning a war of attrition. Over the course of the war, Russia has had close to 1 million casualties in order to capture very small battle field gains where Russia can only level small Ukrainian towns with artillery because they have no ability to use combined arms in battle. Putin was almost coup-ed by his private PMC. Russia, the second largest armed forces in the world, has had to rely on North Korea and Iran for arms production and infantry, while Ukraine has taken and held the Kursk area inside Russia (when was the last time Russia lost territory in an armed conflict)? On the world stage, Russia was so dedicated to the Ukraine war that it let its man Bashir Assad get swept away by a poorly organized ex-Al Qaeda militia and saw its "peace keepers" in Nagorno-Karabakh swept aside in a humiliation to Russia's influence over the Caucuses.
