Nice surprise to wake up to, to say the least. Also wondering who the pendant will be passed to once Sarah finds the last (2?) volunteers, and antics to follow. is Dani opting for it, or since it was covered that she was slightly effected by the pendant already, would she even want to use it??

I thought about having the lifeguard's story play out in the chapter after this one, but decided it was ultimately pretty obvious where things were going with her and it didn't make a ton of sense to drag things out. Plus, while I was writing, I realized this encounter makes a very good catalyst for things to come in the story. Also, this whole situation may not be quite as much of a coincidence as it appears. ;)

Whoa, was not expecting the lifeguard to turn up so soon. I figured she'd be the fourth person up her ass, not the third. Like what's the chances that she ends up at the same party as these two in their Big Belly Witch costume? Besides the plot, I mean. Small town they live in. Chekhov's Gun fell off the shelf and fired in the next chapter here.
