Yes! That's exactly it lol for me also it's because I'll be around my family who's still in the hood and be like nahh, I'm removed from this ratchet lifestyle lmao there are just so many toxic aspects of that life. But at the same time, I'm noticeably more "hood" or "street" than my friends and people I date. So I just resonated with that bar

I’m curious what’s the line you resonated with in her last freestyle. Was it the “too hood for the burbs but too burb for the hood” I’m asking because I resonate with that heavy. It’s been forever since I lived in the hood but I’ll always be hood at my core in some ways but I refuse to live in the hood again. I always need better for and of myself than that now. Also yeah, I totally agree, I do sometimes wish she would switch up her flow a bit more but it doesn’t bother me that she doesn’t because she’s actually talented so I give her a pass. But it’s always nice and refreshing whenever I do hear her with a different flow.
