I suppose you could complain that it sounds generic, but honestly this is probably the only song I like from Chloe so far (mainly due to the chorus). I also think she should have done this alone or with another r&b singer tbh.

Exactly. She needs to try thinking in the same way your body dances to a song, the lyrics should sound like they dancing around the beat too, otherwise what's the joy in listening to it. I guess that means just because you can sing very very well doesn't mean you know how to hook a song properly.

"Lifeless" is very accurate. And you're totally right, they should spend more time working on the rhythm or melody of the lyrics or SOMETHING in order to transform it into into something unique

Heres what it is: What these new singers/rappers, new artists like chloei here can do very well is knowing how to look and sound "famous" or like established artist, like they can copy a melody very well. But they can't copy the same rythematic aspect of how the song suppose to sound catchy or dancy. Most of her songs sound generic because she doesnt know how to play with the rhythm or give the song a proper direction. So lots of songs these days sound the same, or like something you heard a thousand times before. They don't play with the rhythm. So its going to sounds flat, lifeless.

Lol yeah agreed, their music as a duo was wayyy better. I'm surprised because I thought Chloe was gonna deliver as a solo artist but her singles have really been falling flat

I hate this lmao, she been so uninteresting to me as an artist lately. This sounds like an outdated R&B song from like 2011, even the video reminded me of something from that time when R&B was in kind of a lull. I honestly just want the little mermaid to come out so that she can go back to making music with her sister, I was such a fan of their latest album and Chloe as a solo artist is a no from me.

I agree. It’s good. This song kinda sounds like an outtake from summer walkers album. I do think it’s more memorable or at least listenable than her other songs. Like this one’s cool but your right. IMO She’s missing a HIT. It’s so weird cause artists, especially R&B artists make and female always have that lead hit single but idk
