damn, as much as i love "when i get you alone", the way you described how you would do the song actually would make it better. i can hear a "nasty"-style delivery with an added harmony.

I can hear their unique sounds with T's lyrics would go hard. Missed opportunity. Tinashe did her thing, I too need a No broke boys music video.

This is my first time listening to an album of hers. I really liked the production with the atmospheric spaced out sounds but her voice doesn't do anything for me and often times didn't match the energy of the song. I understand that shes not a vocalist but there are things she can do with her voice to keep it interesting like different accents like Doja Cat does.

Getting no sleep, no broke boys, nasty are the top 3 songs on this album imo... I agree about the desperation music, it isn't a good look on the male or female artists... but also the "I'm the best ever" and "no one can do it like me" type music is just as bad and cringy on the opposite end on the spectrum to me... it's cool every now and then, but generally relatable songs are what hits the hardest to me

I enjoyed this project too, especially the last few tracks. I feel like all of Tinashe's albums have a mix of songs that I love the energy and melodies and a few that miss but I like that she experiments with different sounds, even if some of the vocal decisions are riskier. Would love for one of her next projects to feature more fun beats and confident presentation like No Broke Boys and Nasty though!

I definitely feel like the begging r&b rubs off on you. It actually drains me now when I listen and that’s why I don’t listen to as many female artists these days. Tinashe is one of the few artists that makes actually me more confident in my standards. Also I just get tired of hearing the same content in everyone’s songs. Tinashe gives more than just love songs and it’s so appreciated by me

“No Broke Boys” is def the hit: been on repeat. … but like you said “it didn’t blow me away” and that’s been my thing about Tinashe. I see her talent and her consistency is to be respected but it’s always just a bop here or there and never like wowow.

i love that you liked some of the songs ! and honestly i love her vocals on this album lol it may be a preference thing honestly i love dreamy ish vocals cause they suit the production. i think with this and her past album tinashe has really found her sound and i fuck with it heavy ! With ariana, it was her first album without tommy brown and victoria monet and it's her only album that has less than 10 producers. usually her albums have 30+ producers and various songwriters. With eternal sunshine most songs were written by her over a three month period (Sept-Nov 2023). i'm sure if she had worked on it for longer it would've been stronger. all she needed to do was make the verses stronger cause her hooks were strong

I didn't say I don't like whisper vocals, I said I don't like those whisper vocals. Tinashe sounds completely different on Aquarius than on that song. Her whisper vocals are a lot lower and more smooth on Aquarius. I specifically said if they were slightly airy on that track it would've sounded better, they were aggressively airy imo

And please do give those few songs more listens - Getting No Sleep came out a while back and at first the vocals did confuse me but now it’s such a good chill song to vibe to. Tinashe is my #1 artist right now I love her so much. Thirsty is my favorite off this project as of now. A little backstory on this project. It is part 2 of a trilogy project called BB/ANG3L. The first album (called BB/ANG3L) came out last September and was 7 songs. Each of them are going to be short and have a different sound, but they still mesh together super well. Part 3 of the trilogy should be out next year. 🤍🤍

The girls are trolling this year. They all could do so much better. Ariana, Beyonce, Chole, Meg, Ari, Latto.etc I haven't liked a single album. I love Tinashe but this wasn't it, I don't think she can top Aquarius. That album was PERFECT and has aged so well. I have high hopes for Cardi especially with it being over 6 years since her last project but I'm starting to lose hope.
