Bad Girls Club really was the blueprint. Now every ratchet fighting show got some variation of “bad” in it, (or in this case, just a Walmart male version of it). but where these shows fail is BGC had a certain charm/aesthetic. A mansion, a beauty room, limos, vacations, etc. Not everyone was from the hood or willing to just fight all the time. You’d have a hood girl living with a spoiled, rich, suburban girl in the same house, and sometimes they’d be the best of friends. That’s what made BGC interesting to watch. I could never sit through an episode of these new shows. If BGC made a comeback I think it’d do well, now that the climate has changed since its cancellation.
