i really like this song the beat sounds so different from megan previous beats but i also feel like it drowns her out in the chorus part of the song..it’s a grower especially in the gym with headphones …..plus the dance break part of the song could’ve added another lil outro verse my opinion 🤷🏿‍♂️

This opinion was valid. I personally loved this song. I know some people were making fun of it on Twitter because she was dancing while singing depressive lyrics but what made this whole thing so symbolic is that she’s known for making “bad b” type of music and turn up/ hot girl anthems and I think this was just her way of showing like yea she’s still that but it looks different this time. Only thing I wish was she added a 3rd verse after the instrumental played out or repeated the chorus.

i actually love the song. the visuals, bars, production was fire (in my opinion). people were being hella ignorant saying that she should get over her trauma and release more twerk music LIKE HELLO? if i lost my mom and grandma in the same month, shot by a tory “leprechaun” lanez and told i was lying and mocked by the public and some celebrities (looking at drakes gay ass), falling out with friends, and operating the usual stress of the industry idk how i would cope. so i appreciate the vulnerability in this song and how she consistently raps instead of her singing on the chorus on traumazine. (side bar- WELCOME BACK WE MISSED YOU 🩷🩷)

I like the song because it allowed her to express herself but I also feel like this song is a warm up to a true banger that shes known to give. A lot of people are counting her out now so it would be in her best interest to get the hits rolling and get back in the consumer good graces since people love a good underdog come up story

I think that this song is meant to be a standalone track to address all the trauma she went through in three years before she went independent (similar to Last Time I Saw You by Nicki), and the next song she releases will be an upbeat leading single! Also take into account she’s no longer under the label so she probably wanted to drop this to show versatility.
