Now, I know everyone is here for the performance and the weight of it all and me too me too, but I just have to say..I never knew Kendrick was that thicc! Sir, them jeans fit mighty right in the thigh and behind region..I'm JUST saying..he small but kinda thick okay Kenthick! I see you! Lmao!! But, seriously this was everything I wanted and more! And I got from the symbolism, Samuel jackson as uncle sam saying that we as black folk do too much, and if we just tone it down we'd be accepted, then Kendrick going hard in spite of that, also with the flag, saying that we built this country we are just as if not more red white and blue than anyone else. The dancers all leaned at one point like we carried the country on our shoulders. That's what I got from it anyway.

in MY opinion the performance was ok. i don’t really think it was what many were expecting because i also saw people saying that it was mid or things like that but i give him props. I saw people saying that it was the best halftime performance ever but again it was ok it wasn’t really worth the hype. The only thing i enjoyed was sza and the minorrrr part.

Actually untrue about them not being allowed to sing. It's the playing instruments that they especially allowed Prince to do while performing. They usually don't want you playing instruments while trying to be the performer. In case you mess up, the backing ban is the one that plays the backing vocal track is what they selected to do

To correct you Dee, she is singing but they put auto-tune on her mic as well. That's a stylistic thing that she does even at her concerts. She sings into the mic but there's auto-tune on it. To clarify it is a mix of live, pre recorded, and studio vocals

Also they muted the crowd so you could hear Kendrick performing and the audio is on a 5 second delay so when they unmuted for the a minor part it was late. They shady as hell for unmuting for that 😂 I wish they didn’t mute the crowd at all cause supposedly the crowd was lit and rapping with him word for word

So when he came out he was preforming the “GNX” visual snippet that came out before the album. Funny enough, that song has still not fully come out which leads a lot of people to suspect a deluxe or a second album!! When the guys were behind him with no track, he was singing “man at the garden” which was a phenomenal track on GNX! I loved this rendition of the song! With SZA, there definitely sounds to be backing tracks, but the mic was ON!! On both “All of the stars” and “Luther” I noticed slight changes in her key and elongation of notes as well! I love that Kendrick had both Drake’s Ex’s at the Super Bowl, and the way he smiled at the camera while saying Drake’s name was top tier diabolical behavior 🤣 I love the all black performance, I interpret it as a way to showcase how America is built off of black men and women in so many ways! An amazing piece of art for Black History Month and for the culture 🔥

Yea they usually don't let singers sing live and force you them to sing to a backtrack. Only artist they allowed was Prince. They had Alicia sing like on her usher feature but the TV version was playback lol. I know this because she cracked hard af on a note and that shit was gone on the rewatch lol
