Sales Tax
🕑 Added 2020-06-30 20:40:27 +0000 UTCSo you all on patreon may or may not have heard, but if you haven't I thought it'd be fair to warn you. Starting July, patreon is going to include sales taxes on benefits included on tiers for patreon creators. I have no way of knowing what this sales tax is going to be, but it likely won't be too outrageous.
To be on the safe side though, if anyone could volunteer and tell me what they are hit with as far as the tax is concerned by commenting below this post, I'd greatly appreciate it.
For example. If you're charged 8.25 in the mythical tier instead of 8, please comment that you were charged 25 cents. If the sales tax is actually quite bad, I might consider lowering tier costs to compensate for you guys.

Thanks for the added info. I tried to adjust the settings of the tiers, but when I was going through it I felt quite lost. Going to wait and see how things pan out and make adjustments accordingly

Where I live tax is just under 10% so I can tell you I'll be charged around .80 which is cool with me. If it's different I'll edit this

FYI I think whether digital items are considered taxable varies by state, so different people may see different prices.

My income has been reduced, but my patrons havent notices anything. So its just for us creators
