I visited a die maker for corrugated cartons about 25 years ago. They had just acquired a water jet, as they already had a laser for cutting the dies. The tour guide proudly announced that the laser would cut off your finger and cauterize it at the same time; the water jet would cut off your finger and you would need it stitched up. I don't know how medically accurate that was, but be CAREFUL!

Congrats! This is the perfect machine for you! Next buy a wire EDM machine and you will be all set ;-)

The supports are designed to be sacrificial. Every time you take a cut they get a little slice taken out of them (just a little notch on the top, it doesn't cut all the way through them). Eventually they wear away enough that they no longer support the material properly and they have to be replaced. If you don't cut the same thing in the same spot over and over they last for quite long time though

Can’t wait to see the video !! Always wondered how the support for the parts does not get destroyed, same stuff for your plasma cutter, how does it not get crushed ?
