I'm further along than this, but I wanted to share this to show an example of where in the process I'd love to focus on getting to more easily. I feel like I've got pretty good control over everything that comes after this stage, but the early stages are more challenging to me. I guess that means there's more gesture drawing and value studies in my future. :)
I'm doing this drawing in Paintstorm Studio with only one brush this time around, which you can find in the attachments here, in case you're curious. It's just a standard round brush that feels pretty good to draw with, nothing special.

First of all, beautiful work! I just tried your brush and I think it's great! do you have a tip how i should adjust it for shading? β€οΈβπ₯ my goal is to draw my DnD group in a similar style. (With clothing π)

The brushes in Paintstorm unfortunately use brush settings that aren't available in other software, so they aren't compatible with the Photoshop brush file format. Sorry about that!
