After you click "Render Animation" and the little window pops up, look for "Render as: [gif image ]" and click the button with three dots "[...]" right next to it. On the little pop up, uncheck "Transparency Difference". Be advised, if you want the final GIF to have transparency, this will probably remove it. On Patreon, I would recommend uploading only one GIF, then uploading the rest in a ZIP file, in the attachments section of the post (To create ZIP: select images, right click, Send to... >, Compressed (zipped) folder).

Yeah I shoot alot of HDR so every photo has the 5 brackets, the rendered image, the photoshoped image and the compressed web friendly version

I don't know what programs you use so it's hard to tell you exactly what to do. Everyone is saying what to do but not why and how. I haven't looked into it too much but it sounds like you should try compressing your files or lowering your bitrate. When you save/export your files look for options that says bitrate and/or compression. What it does is basically says that if this pixel is exactly the same as the pixel in the next frame, then don't save that information. Lower bitrate and/or higher compression results in smaller file size but it will affect quality (arteacts may form on the animation). If you find those options try to lower bitrate and/or increase compression to your liking.

I've thrown together a batch script that runs through every gif file in an input folder, converts them, and spits out the smaller versions into an output folder. Ran it against 100 of the largest gifs you've posted on here, and it reduced the file size from 1.41gb to 750mb. I'll put together a quick readme and put it up on github shortly

https://github.com/prasmussen/gdrive/ would get you half way there, allowing for you to access Google Drive from the CMDLine. If you set a NAS up, you could use that as a server and automate the process of posting entirely.

Awesome, this is real detailed. A script would be super cool, though I have no idea how I'd make it work. I barely passed Intro to Computer Science in university. This is all cool though, I'll write it all down and look into these

Sick, I'll look into that. 8tb is massive, my master file I keep all the final renders, Krita core files, and backups for every animation I've done is only 19 gigs so far. I don't think I have enough lifespan to fill 8tb.

I was able to drastically reduce the size of your gifs using ffmpeg to split them up into individual frames and then gifski to stitch them back together into a gif. For instance, FOS_03_CE_VAR_01.gif went from 22.7mb down to 6.84mb with minimal loss in quality. If you wanted, I'd be happy to put together a batch or bash script for you to automate this process. Another option would be to upload multiple file types for different users. Big .gifs for desktop users, small .mp4 files for mobile users. As for storage, either Mega or Google Drive would be a good idea. Create one folder for the public/free stuff and another for the exclusive/paid stuff and share the links separately, perhaps?

I personally have a NAS I store my photography on its a out 8tb and in the 3 years I've had it I've used about 60-70% of it?
