Have you seen this interesting program? I cannot vouch for any of the content on it, not having tested it myself, but the underlying idea of bundling image and audio with flashing words and a spiral through a simple interface was quite nice.
VR headsets with over-ear noise cancelling headphone attachments may be rarer, but I know there are numerous discount headset options which just use a phone, for example...
I would love to make a guide and help people troubleshoot setting themselves up for it, because the aesthetic of someone in a visor and goggles, being programmed, maybe stroking a sleeve on their length or pushing a toy into themselves over and over rhythmically and constantly to the beat of a hidden need, appeals very much.

I have asked Elena of eSuccubus who works with me on the Moonlit Hypnosis Project to also voice a few in future.
As part of adjusting to my inability to speak at length, I am writing more on the Moonlit Hypnosis Project, working on steampunk mind control erotica I had long left waiting, and producing hypnotic BDSM instruction and bedroom philosophy manuals for couples, all of which will be produced here with audio books, scripts of the trances, recordings of said scripts, and as much supplementary material as I can muster.
Custom audio *is* still open, Victoria Shine will be voicing but I do the writing here.

I dream of this type of experience to become a reality, I find it really enticing - the idea of putting on a helmet/visor/goggles w/ headphones and then be totally consumed by a relentless hypnotic influence that is far more powerful and up close than simply audio or even video on a monitor can deliver. On my android phone through the Youtube app and turning its VR mode on, I've tried watching some ASMR videos that feature some hypnotic elements. Its not perfect, since VR in that thing is more like being in a movie theater and looking at a big screen which I can look away from at any time and its a bit distant. Plus with a low resolution of a smartphone, I can also make out the individual LED pixels of the phone's screen which also distracts from the experience somewhat. I believe maybe the next-gen dedicated VR headsets like Oculus, HTC Vive with an experience developed using the Unity game engine (it can make interactive programs that are non-games too, with full VR support) might already be possible today to achieve, though the learning curve to make it happen is steep. In light of your recovering throat I was going to suggest using TTS to bring your scripts to life, since the way they're written/structured is magnificent and unlike any others I've experienced from other artists, but you already mentioned this by going the DIY route with it. I actually really love TTS. While the voice is machine-like, it has the power to deliver lines and hypnosis more relentlessly than a human can keep up with. I've had the pleasure of listening to some good TTS files that have taken me deep and felt amazing in their unique way. When paced properly, then combined with binaurals and layers, its incredible. Sadly those elements may require more manual tweaking to finesse them into their full glory, so it probably won't be as easy as a simple copy-paste script press-button-receive-bacon type of deal. As for mind melting machine, I checked out some info about it and seems like its a bit of a buggy mess at the moment and the dev is overwhelmed trying to build the thing while keeping up with their community communications. I'm curious if there are good hypnotic videos to go with audios. My only experience so far was with Samantha Sez's youtube channel and they were quite effective in melting my mind with pleasure and get me into a rather strong trance, though the content context was a bit sketchy so I had to steer away from it eventually. Interesting Software this mindmeltingmachine. You can do something similar with FlipFlip, apart from the VR things. Sound, Pictures, Videos and scripts can be blended together to form something similar.
