Procedural Ambience System
🕑 Added 2024-06-07 07:04:41 +0000 UTCIn my opinion sound is as important as visuals. I've made a procedural ambience system that places/adjusts ambient sounds depending on the surrounding environment/weather conditions. No more generic looping background ambience round here.
Headphones recommended.

This sounds great so far! To improve even further on the immersion, I suggest adding real birds and frogs that produce the sounds

Sounds great! Also keen to figure out how you got this level of voxel simulation in Unreal :) (My guess is lots of C++)

I feel like a cool map/miny map would be the just a camera super high in the sky and you could just have a 3d map

Woah, that's awesome. I agree on sound being just as important as visuals; I always find it extremely jarring when there's no ambiance in a game-- even the looping track was far better than having nothing. Thank you so much for doing this!
