luohao
thanks for the response.it works.
Tooley1998
you could use the capsule shape with a 1 voxel radius to draw a line or use the slope prefabs with alternating rotations to make a diagonal wall
luohao
Once I have determined the starting point and the endpoint, can I generate a diagonal wall instead of filling the entire area?

Oh, wonderful
Tooley1998
no yet. I plan to add that option when I add creative mode
Phillip Holland
He is not making multiplayer a thing in this game
Phillip Holland
I rhink they mean to get something out of their inventory, but not place it down (like minecraft has the q button or drag and drop if the inventory is open
Shiro YT
Hi! is there a way to make a flat world?, it would be nice
Cat Dog
Thanks for the response! I though it was a linux issue haha I was so confused before I figured my gpu was the issue..
Tooley1998
hi, yes sorry unfortunately your GPU is below minimum spec.
Cat Dog
Actually maybe it's my computer's specs. CPU: 13th Gen IntelΒ© Coreβ’ i5-1335U Γ 10 RAM: 16Gb HHD: 512Gb Graphics card: Intel Corporation Raptor Lake-P [Iris Xe Graphics]

I'm on Linux but this game isn't working! I'm on Linux Mint 22.1. Using DX12 gives me an error saying my device doesn't support it and switching to Vulkan just says install the Vulkan driver. I have both installed and tried running your game on a vm and got the same issues. Help wanted.
Tooley1998
it can go lower and the minimum requirements may change. a 1660 super is very close to a 2060 in performance.
Tooley1998
use the "walk" command to stop flying
Nathaniel S
when using the Fly command, it seems there is no command to stop flying. Unless I am wrong, I got out of it by exiting the world and loading back in
Nathaniel S
I would like to say that the minimum requirements can go lower! im running between 60-80 fps with a 1660 super and ryzen 5 5600x. I think lower system reqs might draw in some more attention if thats what you may be seeking!
Tooley1998
Im not sure I understand the question. could you maybe reword that?
Tyler Domek
Is there a drop mechanic I can figure out how to place things but not drop anything if there isnt i think you should add one
Tooley1998
there will be a tutorial at some point in the future. tutorial worlds are cool but it will probably be more of a traditional game tutorial.
Tooley1998
thanks for the suggestions. these are cool ideas but not really the kind of game im going for though
Tooley1998
I have no plans for multiplayer sorry

I would really like to see colony mechanics in Lay of the Land. - home zone that defines the boundaries of your base - Colonists that work for your colony once recruited. Have backgrounds and skills randomly generated - Work tab to assign work priority to colonists - resource gathering zones, growing zones, mining/quarrying zones, fishing zones - biome specific animals that can be hunted, butchered, and cooked - predators that can be hunted, butchered, and cooked, but will also hunt colonists - stockpiles for resources to be hauled to - blueprinting system for future buildings to be built once resources are available in stockpile, or plants to be planted once seeds are available - other world factions, friendly, hostile, and neutral - trader caravans from friendly/neutral factions selling seeds, weapons, food, etc - raids from hostile factions - defensive structures and traps to protect your base - armor/weapons/clothing/tools crafting - prisoner system to capture injured raiders and try to recruit them - injury/healing/infection system for colonists wounded in raids - herbal medicines that can be foraged for or grown - peg legs, eye patches, etc for colonists that lose limbs - temperature/food spoilage system so that you have to dig a cellar to keep food stores cold

+1 this would be killer

I think a little tutorial world like minecraft had back in the day would be great in this game. Just for the sake of sharing the idea of what the game is, and what you can expect to do. Obviously you can go right into minecraft and just learn, but as a kid, the tutorial world helped out a lot, with just basic ideas of what to do in your own game. I think this game would benefit significantly with it just to even off your ideas and progression in the EA part of the game
Aftermath Gaming434
are there any plans for coop in the future
Tooley1998
I would like to make a MacOS version its just a matter of time cost versus potential user base and for mac its just not there at the moment
Esther Amoako
It would be pretty cool making a Mac OS version. I was wondering, is making the game for different systems tricky? I know Mac computers are hella stingy. Anyway, you're doing really great :))
Tooley1998
I hope to have a macos version but I'm not sure at this stage. the user base is so small that im not sure that its worth the dev time :(
Daniel ML
Hello! I was wondering if Mac OS will be in the picture at some point, it's a really good game and the only thing stopping me from playing rn is the operating system. Played plenty of windows games trough Whisky/Crossover, but this ones seems to give a "FATAL ERROR". Thanks in advance and keep working on this amazing game, it's really unique and it's graphics are really charming!
Tooley1998
yes just download the file attached to this post and extract it just as you did when you downloaded the game the first time
Anon Anon
To update do you re install the new file?
Tooley1998
you make glass by cooking sand in a kiln. you make a kiln from clay and stone bricks. clay is a brownish material found near rivers
eem
a suggestion i have is when it becomes multi player please allow sharing worlds with friends so that they can play when your not on all you need to do is create a digital key special to the world made by the owner donβt be like mojang and put a price on it
eem
how do i craft glass and a keln is the further progression to crafting if so is there a guide or could you help me?
Tooley1998
I'm sorry to hear about Boxhead I hope you're doing ok. I haven't given much thought to companions/tamable animals. Maybe it could be something that could be added in the future.
edorb
even if it has to be passive
edorb

Angus Keane
