It's summer when the story takes place in DoD, and the christmas special is in winter. In the canon story things are about to "get real" and a timeskip to winter wouldn't fit in with how the story is progressing. It could be entierly possible that Sin is planning for this on some level, if everything in the canon works out for the better and the MC's relationships with his fellow cast of "foxes" gets resolved in 3-4 episodes, then a jump to ... say winter is totally possible and that he (MC) goes on living his life with his (not)family how he wants to. βοΈ My two cents, don't know if it makes sense to anyone, and is really only me thinking realistically and at the same time being hopeful for the future of the Mc and his harem.π
