Tap dancer problem
🕑 Added 2020-04-22 16:00:04 +0000 UTCI wasn’t planning to get down on the floor in the spaced out video because my floor was overdue for a solid scrubbing... this is what you get when you do floor work on a floor covered in tap dust while wearing a costume made out of holes. (Both floor and my butt have been thoroughly scrubbed since)

Yup, I've looked at O'Mara's options before. Gorgeous floors, but even their small practice floors are rather $$$

You mentioned maple floor and that got me looking at O’maras Sprung floors. Their popular flooring is maple and some made from Ash wood.

Unstained maple really shows it, though it usually looks black or dark grey to me!

You mentioned “tap dust “. Wow....something about that sparked a sensuous thought. That floor takes a lot of wear... I might even say punishment not from just the tapping, but slides and spinning. Your floor is black; so it’s difficult to notice the wear ; but I’ve seen some dancers with plain finished wood having a luster or metallic residue from the aluminum taps. For me, it’s more than just intriguing.
