Snow (Full-res + Process steps)
🕑 Added 2021-05-16 05:46:35 +0000 UTCA quick dip back into a type of subject matter I haven't touched in a while! It's still fun to draw some non-contemporary costumes and it's a nice pause from the usual bad guys stuff. It's been a while since doing this type of grey outdoor lighting in the snow so I actually took a bit to recall how to balance the values properly; I hope you enjoy the piece and find the process steps interesting!
As always, thank you for your support and feel free to leave any feedback or comments! Because the community here is a bit more compact, I will be able to respond to all comments. :)

Thank you, it was a fun attempt to revisit the theme :) Usually its about 10-15 hours per piece, split up into 2 or 3 sittings. I don't really make it a point to go fast or trim down, but it seems over the years naturally things get a bit more streamlined!

I really love the bad guys serie, but I'm very happy to see your fantasy art again! 😊 Would you mind to tell how much time you spend on each piece? You are impressively productive considering how detailed is your work, and I'm always wondering how fast one can be and how much a process can be optimized 🙂

You are very productive these days! The work on the snow is remarkable, as is the charisma of your characters! A successful portrait from every point of view, there is nothing to complain about! Congratulations!

Can I just check that you can see the 2nd image? If you can, click on it, click once on the image again and save-as to grab the full-res version. Personally I would recommend using a desktop browser if that's OK!

Cant view the process steps for some reason... any advice? Great great job by the way!

Hello! In the EP 01 video I cover the process in it's entirety, albeit sped up (of course you can manually slowdown playback or pause). You can see all the key steps and I talk about how I go about doing them to advance the drawing. In EP 02 I cover in more focus the starting sketch and most of the preparation phase like basic lighting setup and color. hi guweiz! amazing art as always. it baffles me how sketchy you start and made it so polished. Do you have a realtime video I can see (or buy/download for that matter).
