A tribute of sorts to everyone who creates through art (kind of!). It was an interesting concept that I had a lot of fun painting, but quickly it felt pretty overwhelming to have to draw such an expansive scene in sufficient detail. The line between carefully referencing real buildings and just drawing freely started to blur given the time constraints, and ultimately I think the result isn't too bad, but could be better!
Nonetheless, I think I learnt quite a bit just by trying my best throughout the process! For example, I started off wanting to create more of a scale model city, but ending up giving it a bit more life because I couldn't quite nail how to make a blank version as interesting.
Having said that, there's still quite a few more areas I would have liked to spent even more time on to develop fully. I'd love to talk about it in the upcoming process video (now that I'm all done with the 5 works I'm bringing to Osaka end of the month), so please do look forward to that soon!
In the meantime, feel free to let me know what you think below, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this!

This piece genuinely struck a chord with me. Even though you mention it could be better, I actually found myself staring at the details for a long time. The contrast between the figure standing tall and still in the center—creating—while surrounded by this intense, chaotic city… it made my chest feel tight in the best way. It speaks so deeply to how isolating, yet powerful, the act of creation can be. Your work and the way you share your thoughts so sincerely is incredibly inspiring to me. This is the kind of artist I hope to become—someone who creates not just with skill, but with honesty and soul. Thank you for sharing this.

that might be my favorited piece this year, absolutely stunning how you rendered the buildings. I think the colors could be more vibrant on some areas but you defintely surpassed yourself with that one.
