Finally got around to listen to it too, tbh i still really like the video. But in the first version it feels like removing the background noise (i'm assuming thats what the editor did?) makes it feel a bit bland at times. In the second version i like that a lot better and tbh i dont mind a bit of backgroundnoise anyway because it keeps my adhd brain from getting distracted if that makes sense?

1st one has less BG but the trigger sounds bad imo, it sounds like the lower frequencies are too low in volume. 2nd one the BG is more noticable, which I personally dont mind and the trigger sounds a lot better

I think second video sounds better (I couldn't listen to the first one for more than 10 seconds), but both of them sounds bad to me, like if I was listening with a crappy headphones and at low bitrate. I'm comparing it to VOD from live performance from May 2023: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1811927803?t=0h10m35s I'm afraid this is beyond salvageable kaatCry Edit: Actually… I just listened again to both video and they now seems OK to me. It helps when I adjust volume to match what's in the VOD

2nd one overall. The first one is just a tad bit to harsh and I actually prefer less sterile asmr.

I preferred the 2nd video. There seems to be a bit of a trade-off when removing the background noise in the 1st video. You hear less background noise to nearly none in the 1st one. But at the cost of also hearing less of everything else to the point I liked the 2nd one more.

The only thing you will hear is 10x worse background noise in the original video. 🥺 The second video does have added gain to it.

I am not gonna vote. I liked both videos, i had no problems with the sound in either. As long as there is no background noise, both videos will be fine with me. :)

Final verdict: I like the sound in video 2, but I like the background in video 1. Both great. Would/will listen to either :) you're my favorite ASMr-tist.

First video has the better sound quality to my ears. It sounds like I could be in the same room with you as there is NO background noise at all - just the sounds of the trigger. The second one has a bit of a background noise - it's very low but it's detectable - I guess it's the sound of the mic just being open (if that makes sense). The first video does not have this at all. The trigger scratching seems more raw and not "smoothed" when compared to #2. For comparison, I used the next ten seconds after your eye-wink around the 53 second mark. So the next downstroke after the eye-wink. I preferred #1 to the more "filtered or processed or muted" sound of #2, if that makes any sense at all - finding it hard to put my impressions into words. :) I'll add that my first choice was #2 until I noticed the lack of bg noise in #1. After I picked up on that, I found it hard to listen to #2 in the same way and preferred #1. So I'll go for #1.

I'm only 4 minutes in. I like this one. I am noticing a difference though. It's not bad, its just difference. Most of your videos/scratches have like an echo, or a fade with them. This one doesn't have that. It still sounds good though, but is a diffferent sound. I'd post it, or I'd turn on a small echo/reverb to see if that changes your mind on it.

Ok so I will leave this message on both areas. With this I can't vote because they both sound roughly the same. And the quality is very poor sound wise. I would like to hear the original without any editing for the sound changes. It seems like the only thing that happened was the gain was turned way up because you can hear the hiss in the background.

It's certainly different from the usual videos but it is good in its own way. I think I can see why you would have sound issues with this one though.

Objectively, the sound quality seems fine. Subjectively, I'm not a fan of the backscratcher sounds. It's kinda harsh on my ears, but that's just my opinion and probably not what you're asking about.
