This was cool and it succinctly explains why Amara is how she is. And Malik certainly makes for an…interesting parental figure, to put it nicely. Hmm. Parents disappeared, huh? Theory time: they’re either deadbeats, Malik killed them, or they were killed by Jinn Hunters. My money’s on the third option, but the second option is just as possible.

With this I can see her having actual feeling for some of her Homunculus and sadly give nicknames only for grandpa to "discard it"
