Runeforged already messes with flight and physics. *shrugs* but good point to make though.

Letting Pestle loose inside the god's body is a good move. Unclear how much good it'll actually do, but definitely good to take a moment for. Loved seeing her first real combat use of Mockery of the Divine. Wasn't expecting it to be Rejection, though. Does she know the runes corresponding to all the divine essences she has? Minor physics issue: escape velocity changes greatly with the size and surface gravity of a planet, and she's on an unfamiliar planet in this trial. Since it went uncommented, the surface gravity is probably about the same, but the escape velocity is still uncertain due to size. Sofia wouldn't know how fast was needed, necessarily. (Though I suppose her understanding of it might be too low to realize that issue.) Speaking of which, given that you've said Veliadren is way bigger than Earth, and it presumably has about the same surface gravity or heroes would have issues, escape velocity from it must be quite high compared to Earth... Yeah, this just keeps escalating. Not sure how long you can keep it up... Corrections: the amalgam of rotten fises and sea creatures fises -> fishes the tentacles sunk back down again sunk -> sank grotesque hand that rapidly sunk to the bottom of the sea sunk -> sank like hit by an invisible giant hammer like -> as if Sofia summoned the Asterite chest under her right as the tentacle struck. right -> just (took me several re-reads to correctly parse this. I kept thinking this was "right" as in the opposite of "left") leave for the small hole her pendant had carved through. leave -> save

Somewhere out there Scripture has a notebook out and just crossed "tentacles" off his list of options.

She is sure living the slow and easy life. I'm jealous!

It’s time for soph to kill what is presumably the last living (is it alive or undead? I can’t tell tbh.) creature of the world. I have no doubt she will find a way. In the worst case, she could survive for ages using her zeus form, relying on lightning damage to lengthen the duration, being immune to any magic after one instance of damage no tricks are likely to work on her. Wait, remind me, she took leviathan blood? No matter, worst case she could just use Zeus form to produce a max power angel bolt (maybe use her staff and other equipment to make multiple) use the ring of Zor to absorb it, cast it again shortly, and I forget but either double the mana or double the damage. She could even just “get caught” start channelling the bolts, and once she’s close enough let it rip. Idk anymore, but soph is nightmare made flesh, the deep incarnate.

Paddy

COME ON I CANT WAIT TILL TOMORROW?!?!?! WHY YOU DOING ME LIKE THIS ?!?! Xoxo love your work

Ceasar Salas

Thanks for the chapter!

Mornn

I did have a plan, yes, but I can't tell if it'll actually take exactly four chapters to get there, and I'm not too fond of like, extending or shortening the story for no reason, so I'll see how things turn out :)

Cyclone001

Got any plans for next Thursday's chapter, Mornn? You can't let that chapter number go without some comment. As for the immediate present, I hope you're not planning a weekend cliffhanger for us tomorrow.

Mornn

Technically the gods in this universe do have to stay 'close' to the source of their essence (aka people) yes. Whether that applies to this guy though... Who knows :p

Emily Gurnavage

From some of the others we have seen, I doubt she is the only level 300 to be capable of space travel so I doubt it wasn't taken into consideration.

Emily Gurnavage

I think the time-lag for her to hit the sun with anything would be too long to reasonably help here.

Lazy Monster

Well, I guess if the admins were certain enough that the god was guaranteed to kill the trialee that the could put “certain” death in the trial description then I guess they would also assume there is no real “out of bounds” for this trial. Does the god weaken or anything away from the planet where its domain is? I don’t remember if that was mentioned in this series or another one I’m following. Edit: I know there was something about a god needing their domain to be reachable which is why peace’s domain isn’t in the void of space

Songy

This time: rods against god XD

Tsorov

Soo... orbital bombardment? Always time for a new version of the "rods of god"

Wensber

Thanks for the chapter!

John Grizzly

Well now it has eyes, so the light curse can work right? Cas she hit the sun and turn it into a huge cursed sun?

Phsteven

Sofia should probably look at this guy in the toolbox, might help a little...

Tom Asciola

Ah, space. Sofia's starting to get pretty comfortable up there, huh?

Phsteven

I'm sure bonking him with explosive bolts enough would propel him into a collision course. The only limiting factor would be if he could move himself in space...

ArtTheGreat

If she keeps going deeper in space will the god eventually form itself an avatar out of the whole solar system?

Mornn

That's a different solar system :')

Phsteven

Time to lure the boss into space and yeet him into the sun...

Dan N

Hmm if escaping into space is an option maybe she can kite the thing into the sun? The Deep Whale is probably still hanging around right? Her auntie may be willing to lend her a hand in this trial.

BOT

I dont know if the admins would consider the concept of "out of bounds" as a victory or cheating in this case... Interesting plan nonetheless

Quentin Cozzi

Thanks for the chapter!
