Yup. You will be one chapter ahead if you read just the free chapters on Patreon, compared to other platforms.

I am not a patron, but I can read this, Is that supposed to happen?

Xwaderman

Moved his head in an arc, who did? missing something in this

Sooo excited! This Final boss is like combining Merlin, King Arthur, and The Hulk into one package. I can't wait! MOOOORE!

Haha, i Like how you remember us that Daniel is OP... for the weak one ;p he only a small part of the univers. Well, it's now clear that shema is not the most powerfull one ;p (( at there level, power mean nothing. Tricks, wise and minion make the right.))

Monsoon117

fixed. A bit late on this one.

Leonard Marchant

process far less time consuming than* it had once been.

Alex R

Monsoon said in a comment in a different chapter that he is planning on gong back to Earth in the next arc.

Jonathan

In terms of power creep, I think that it'd be most believable if we met people with varying types of power. To me it seems the emperor could be setup for this as he was described as being more INT based and has political power than simply fight strong. We've already seen heavy CHAR characters and STR/DEX so I think going with adair and more mental or psy would still be fresh. Though I'd really like to see the gang returning and fixing stuff on earth. Maybe have interested galactic factions/parties meddle with earth settlements or have the Adair org do some terrorism.

Alex R

Lehesion most likely had atleast some part of the cipher that he is using. Remember that the cipher has two limiting factors, mana put into it and how efficient the character is. Even if Lehesion's cipher is only .1% efficient, if he is putting 1 trillion mana into it, he is getting more gains than the guy with a 50% efficient cipher that put 1 billion mana into it.

Alex R

Daniel noted that the magic Lehesion used on Emagothra is a scale and more complex than anything that he has seen or heard of in Schema's system. Yes, using the mana of the entire planet will most likely kill everyone but he really doesnt care as he is a sociopath. It also takes the mana from the environment not from individuals. The Old Ones are considered Universal Gods, and Schema is either a tier below or similar on power. Thing Beeros from Dragonball Super. The emperor is just an incredibly powerful being in the system, he is stronger than an overseer but that doesn't inherently put him in Schema/Old One tier. We dont even know if Lehesion is actually weaker than the Emperor either. Just that both of them are immensely strong. This planet is most likely not the only one where the inhabitants draw mana from the planet, they all have limiters on the amount they can draw, Lehesion does not. Man, it's like super end game for Daniel to do anything about Schema or the Old Ones, that's like saying how is Goku in the first episode of OG DB ever going to fight Jiren in Super.

ParoxysmDK

And the reason i mention the draining of mana from the planet, is because this is how he got so powerful, not by schema's system like yawm initially did, nor by the cypher, like (we don't know yet, but i'm taking a shot in the dark here) the emperor, the old ones, schema and entities like baldag-ruhl does/did.

ParoxysmDK

A lot of comments i would like to reply to, but it'd be tough to do on this platform since i can't quote like on forums, but: We've learned of the cypher early on, and that it has potential to basically "break" reality, and is something that even schema and the old ones use in different ways. We've heard mention of helios' species' emperor being able to use it to a profound degree, and afaik we have not heard anything about lehesion using magic more powerful than schema nor the power the cypher can give. So if Lehesion is this powerful simply from using the mana of the planet (and shouldn't this completely destroy all life on it btw?), and has no improvements from the cypher, except for what he got from the old one (don't remember the name atm) how ridiculous is the emperor, the old ones, and even schema? Seems quite implausable that being able to use a planets mana is unique to this specific planets race, no? If we go by the logic that schema, the old ones and possibly other entities can do something similar, then what prevents something from draining multiple planets, entire solar systems, or galaxies to fuel their power? That's the kind of exponential power inflation i referred to in my post. And how is daniel ever going to battle something like that further down the line?

s476

He came back looking all hybrid and stuff, while doing a magic disappear trick while he was needed....

Alex R

Even if Daniel beats Lehesion with a massive amount of help, that doesn't mean that he is immediately at that level. Look at the Yamn stuff, Daniel is still weaker than Yawm was. Dragonball power escalation is literally at the end the MC is stronger than the villain, Daniel is only now closing in on the strength of the first arc's villain

Alex R

Lehesion has access to pretty much an unlimited amount of mana that he can get instantly (it's literally the world's mana) and his magic is also stronger than the magic in Schema's system. Hes also been augmented massively by the Hybrid tech. Also Yawm is stronger than Helios, Helios is just more in your face about being strong unlike Yawm who was more insidious.

ParoxysmDK

Imo this needs to be toned down drastically, or it'll suffer from the same kind of continuous power escalation that a lot of anime suffers from. Like Dragon Ball.

ParoxysmDK

Interesting chapter, but i feel Lehesion's power level seems overly bloated. It's escalated waaaay too much in power level imo; Yawm was supposed to be a legend, and a s+ (or was it higher/lower?) threat, Helios is portrayed as even stronger than yawm, and has liberated 2 planets, the sentinels are schema's enforcers, with weapons that cut into the dimensional fabric, the overseer is even more powerful, and now all of them are going to fight the same being? If this is only the first planet that Daniel visits, how ridiculous would any future bad guys have to be, to even begin to compare to lehesion and how will any fight's after this be as thrilling and/or epic in execution? Seems like lehesion is way too powerful for being the big baddie on the first intergalactic adventure daniel has went on.

Alex R

I'll make it a regular comment. Why does Sheom fight Lehesion? Isnt she supposed to be his mentor and friend?

bracabrad

Step 1: eat the boss. step 2: be the boss

Monsoon117

The final combatant in the tournament. She swam through the earth and used momentum swinging tactics against people. She enjoyed fighting quite a bit, and was Chrona and Krog's equal.

Michael

Who is Sheom again? I've completely forgotten.

Alex R

He acquires the unknown status prior to the Yamn arc. It's due to the smaller actual first arc with the Hivemind. Where he gets the armor.

The villain on Earth was Yawm and the conclusion of that arc is Daniel saves his home, becomes the guild leader of Earth and unfortunately acquires the "Unknown" status. Then we have this arc, the second arc. The hidden villain (Which I think will continue to be of importance in arc III) is Tohtella and her family, presumably they have allies that support their cause (Can't remember what that is) and the Final Boss is Lehesion. The goal in this arc is to get rid of the "Unknown" status (Which I think they've done), gain allies on Giess and among other guilds, get Daniel a class and lastly save Giess from being glassed. Correct me if I'm wrong on this. Was just trying to figure out the plot so far :)

Alex R

Damn Sheom is dead. But it's an easy way to show how strong he is.

Calleman20

Thanks for the chapter.

BrauBaer

Thanks for this awesome chapter. But F*********************************CK that's a shitty cliffhanger.!

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

s476

Huge thanks!

Sam4005

double release yeet!!!!

Jonathan Walker

When does the big fight to end all fights start? I'm soooooooo looking forward to this fight right now

Kurt A

I don't think hod is the most powerful member of their group anymore. I don't think he has a class/increased level limit right?

This was solid. The only thing I can't comprehend is why Danial is ignoring the one being that could end Lehesion in mere nanoseconds. I mean they are going through all this buildup when they could just call Hod over from earth and it would all be over.

Sebas Tian

Daniel cant die....... no seriously if he isnt 100% focused while ignoring everyone else I highly doubt he can die xD.

Corwin Amber

thanks for the chapters

Corwin Amber

'The stepped through the portal' word missing?

Ashyles

That was unexpected, nice

"Moved his head in an arc, and I was sure he was rolling his eyes under his helmet." seems odd, is it supposed to say The Overseer first?

Some BS Deity

Nice, excited for the raid boss :)

Omega

Thanks fpr the double, i was a little sad not seeing our main man dan last chapter, but this more than makes up for it

Monsoon117

This was easier to edit then I expected. Hope you guys enjoy, and be prepared for what's to come. Bum, bum, buuuuum.
