Hello? Is anyone else experiencing this or just me? Or did a change happen and I didn’t know?

alexander julian

Pretty sure he only eats organic

PloofDoodle

He might just be able to repopulate glasses worlds for Schema with the new aura of his.

alexander julian

The speeches have always been awesome. In terms of Daniels motivations maybe you could make it more clear why it's difficult to help and what he actually wants from them. Like is he concerned he's been away from earth to long? How is he actually putting his own at risk. In terms of what he wants negotiating for less service time seems a bit random. Maybe he could simply ask them to teach the people of earth magic (coz giess us natrually very good at it) and use it as a premise to create an alliance.

I can’t access the next chapter for some reason? Even though I have the first tier. What up?

luckeybrady

Scourged Earth is one of my favorite stories.

Stepan Kadlec

Small typo here: They're god turned on them, twisted into a war machine. It should be 'Their'

bracabrad

mhmmmm i can feel some action build up. Daniel Smash.

Some BS Deity

I'm tearing up man. That was awesome

Leonard Marchant

Another great speech I recently read was in chapter 3.34 of "The Scourged Earth" on Royal Road if you're looking to expand your arsenal of compulsion lol.

Monsoon117

Thanks and fixed.

Monsoon117

I misswrote this. Thanks for the fix.

BrauBaer

You're getting better every time you write these speeches. AWESOME! I've had several goosebumps while reading this. Thanks for the chapter!

Anon_Anon

"For added effect, I slowly encompassed The Garden of Eden over them." I thought it was called the Rise of Eden? Or has that been changed?

Raiser

Can Daniel eat a planet to increase his density now?

Bobby B.

Well hell, I'm inspired, I think ima go on a marath... 10... 5... go for a jog!

Backfire

Good chapter, here's a mistake: "Did you all hear him? Who here will roar with your general? Who (hear)--->here will add to his call?"

Zachary Smith

I really like the story monsoon :) it’s really awesome.

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Monsoon117

No, you're probably right. I'll bolster their initial responses and make them come across as more competent in general. Thanks for pointing this out.

Leonard Marchant

It's getting a liiiiittle old that everyone but Daniel seems quite emotionally vulnerable. Almost like those lite novels where everyone's an idiot to make the mc look good. Maybe it's just that their emotional vulnerability is a bit too exaggerated? Or not, I'm not sure.

Alex R

I read it that he didnt want to fight to save the Gialgathens when they didnt want to do it for themselves. They gave up on winning and living and now are a shell of themselves.

Might have been good with some introspection during previous chapters about if the fight on giess would be worth it. It felt like a sudden shift when he started weighting pros and cons. Felt in previous chapters fighting lehesion was a certainty and suddenly it wasn't. Might just have been me. Really liked the speech though. Always fun reading a well made speech :-D

Chrona tilted her head at me, "I would ask of you, how would we support so many people here? If you haven't noticed, it's a dessert." Is this supposed to be desert ?

Jonathan Walker

Such a short chapter, but still great can't wait to see what happens next woohoo

.TheFear

though*

.TheFear

awesome speech and writing mate, very well done! (small mistake thought, i doubt they were standing on a dessert but rather in the desert=) )

Monsoon117

They began as an aquatic species that used boiling water to hunt prey. The idea was using the heat to kill fish that then float to the surface of primordial pools. They then collect the fish. It was effective and resulted in the success of the species. This evolved into fire after they left the ocean. Evolution acts as a tinkerer after all, not a designer. EG, the coccyx in humans is the remnants of a tail. This was the idea at least.

Tai Irwin

Oh, such a powerful speech, my heart quakes imagining being there for it!

Gardor

I just realized, it doesn't make a whole heap of sense for amphibious creatures that evolved in an ocean and need to be wet all the time to all breath fire

Thank you for the chapter. Each one gets me more excited to the next ^_^

Corwin Amber

thanks for the chapter...i wish it was longer :)

Mason Sudul

Wew that gave me goose pimples. Nice work.

s476

Speeches are always difficult, so let me know how that worked out. Just as well, I wanted to remain consistent with the motivations of the characters in this chapter. To me, Daniel isn't the kind of guy to drop everything to save everyone. He looks after his own first, for better or for worse. That being said, the logic and whatnot could always be off in this chapter. If that's the case, let me know and I'll fix it.
