I am wondering about 2 things. 1) Since the items could retain the eating ability, there should be possible to create medical equipment for suppressing eldritch infections. However it will need a detection software, to diferentiate between host and parasite. Schema can do this very well. I believe it could be set to eat anything what is not a host, and the host must be registered beforehand, that could be foolproof system. The other option is programming complex database differentiating species, or it can target a few prominent infectious species, I bet the eldritch research centers of Empire and Legion will provide ton of data. Third option would be to hack into schema to obtain information, when using that item, since it already can discern most species, these items may gain approval later. 2) The programming part is quite lacking, but not bad for a prototype. For example if you surround an area of dungeons with passageways, the golem will never enter there, since it follows only outer wall. I am wondering if Daniel could let other people program the golems, since there is no lack of programmers on Earth, he will just need to transcribe it to runes, or some mages could, and write it on the golem.

Thanks for the fix, though I'm three weeks late.

At the end of the chapter where you were describing the sunrise at elderfire you said sunset instead of sunrise just before Daniel mentions how he is lucky there isn't much of a time difference

Monsoon117

Within the next three days.

What's the eta on the next chapter?

alexander julian

I forking hope so

I got a question. Are we going to see how Daniel takes ownership of Earth and establishes a nation kind of Guild?

Monsoon117

Yes, and I'll have a POV for it as well.

Alex R

Are you going to tell us what the last tier of Archmage gives Torix it/when he unlocks it?

Monsoon117

He could, though that much mana might change the way the armor works. It might be less stable to control in general. I think Torix is better off just focusing on using what he has better rather than expanding his abilities. This is my opinion at least. The same could be said for Daniel.

Monsoon117

I did forget. Thanks.

Monsoon117

Thank you very much. It was worth the effort.

Alex R

Can Daniel and Torix funnel more mana into Torix's body to increase the bonuses that Torix gets?

Conor McGroarty

Well if it was only decimating, than I don’t believe it would be impossible for the current MC to solo these bases assuming Lehesion doesn’t show. But it also involves saving those left so it needs others. But making a final push to clear the last cities today is a viable option that has its own merits considering they are pressed for time with the Empire and the near complete Hybrid conversion of those they seek to save not giving them time. Plus considering they were having such an easy time that it was bumming their morale for not being sporting enough, than some fast attacks with minimal planning is best. In any case, looking forward to seeing how the emperor fights. I imagine it is a better version of Helios (mostly magic but their bulk can let them fight up close as needed). I predict that Lehesion will interfere with Giess’ glassing (more to send a message that Schema’s greatest weapons the spatial fortresses can be fought) and MC and group will likely assist the fortress (at least escape) from becoming worst case scenario.

Great chapter! Enjoyed every minute of reading :) I think the golems will, in time, develop personalities and become part of the immortal family/group he needs.

Alex R

How much of Earth does the Legion control right now?

Kathy Avsar

I agree, one of your better chapters! Daniel does have a lot on his shoulders. I’m glad he let himself drop into that feeling. Going into the darkness is the only way to reduce the fear and realize it’s manageable. Great work!

Absolutely fantastic chapter love the direction your moving with Daniel showing weakness and Torix reevaluting his approach to life and it was built up to nicely. Really impressed coz those kind of attitudes were always a little bit off putting whereas this really shows how the situation there in has effected them. The Golems are also a very cool progression to coincide with that. Automates and alleviates his inability to help everyone and also strong Dad vibes which is cool for the late stage of devopement if the character and the theme of shifting from destruction and survival to creation and nurture. Also it sounds like it should be 'do take CARE of yourself disiple'

Zachary Smith

Cool chap! Thank you!

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Hmm With how far along the Gilgathans are in the hybrid stages I can see Daniel take a Blitzkrieg/Smash and grab approach with the last few city's. By Blitzkrieg I mean he hits each city back to back to back, with no pause in between. This plan would be for him to basically solo infiltrate the city's grab as many Gilgathans as he can, retreat to Spear portal to base drop off the saved Gilgathans, help the ones that are worst off then immediately portal to the next city then rinse and repeat in the span of an hour or two. This could be a high tension style chapter where it gets harder for him each time he hits the next city after the second since so far they have only targeted one city at a time. I wonder with the Runic programming skill would he be able to make a ridiculous speed boost multiplier spell to help?

This was one of the best chapters you've done I feel. Really good. Keep up the excellent work! ****"Do take _____ of yourself, disciple." I think you forgot the word care. :P

Alex R

Good chapter, a couple of small mistakes. *that* relics and treasure -> *than* relics and treasure I wish to find the answer *too* -> I wish to find the answer *to* siphoned *it the cloud* into a gravity well -> Either it or the cloud works. If it wasn't for how *second-hand* cipher carving was at this point -> Isn't it second nature not second hand, might just be a colloquialism that I don't know about. *Golen* cores -> *Golem* cores *Dam*, I got lucky -> *Damn*, I got lucky

Sebas Tian

Fantastic, fantastic chapter!

Omega

Thanks

Monsoon117

Sorry for the delay. This was a difficult chapter to write as it required several edits. It did feel like I was working on something good for the most part, but my own impressions can often be decieving. Let me know if you spot something off or amiss. I'll do my best to fix it, and I also hope you guys enjoy reading this chapter. It's a long one at over 6K words.
