Weird, I need to become patron to comment if I enter the chapter, but I can write from Monsoon117/posts just fine. I wanted to suggest a logo for Harbinger´s guild to be a fist in black and white, but searching for good images it is a symbol of neonazi and BLM movements (same picture, swapped colors). So maybe different symbol :D

Thanks for pointing this out. Writing multiple characters in a seen can be difficult since orientation becomes a bigger issue. I'll edit this out so that it makes sense.

‘ Florence walked off towards the elevator, zooming down the floors.‘. This doesn’t seem right considering he continued talking when he supposedly left (I suppose he could have done a video call but that would need to be mentioned). In addition he doesn’t come back up with Ophelia when that would be the only reason he went down plus he started being peacemaker after she showed up. Basically it needs some editing

It’s a bit vague on why Schema was made in the first place but it is certain that the eldritch come from another dimension of everything and everyone being made of mana and energy. This dimension though has energy as matter (even the eldritch become more solid when passing over). Amara mentioned as much and how the living pieces of matter are the most tasty hence why they eat people (same from the C’tan from Warhammer 40k). Not necessarily a bad thing to compare to Warhammer 40k as it is a great series. If you feel like it, check out “if the emperor had a text to speech device” on YouTube: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cy4CJ4F-epA&list=PLyiDf91_bTEgnBN0jAvzNbqzrlMGID5WA&index=2&t=0s

Herald

So... not sure if I'me remembering incorrectly, but wasn't Schema created by the Revenants to combat the eldritch? If this is in any way true then obviously the eldritch would have been around 1st. Why then would the empire be dismissive of Florences research and think his claim is ludicrous?

Looked at another way it is quite badass that he uses a world ruler and fringe walker badass as his own cabbie. Though I do understand that there is a difference to being able to use it yourself and having others take you vs not being able to do it. Author already laid some groundwork with the scrying thing and how it is the basics of portal stuff and it just needs to work up the magic tree to full blown portaling. Frankly MC is just busy with the rebellion and priority of getting a sovereign skill that anything not related has to take a back seat.

Regnal

I really hope MC learns how to portal himself eventually. With how fast he learns skills it shouldn't be too hard. Also I would assume that his 100% Dimensional resistance or whatever would prevent him from getting that portal sickness so he should be a perfect candidate. It just kind of takes away from his badassness if he constantly needs a taxi service to get around. All in all great chapters and I like the frequent posts!

I started writing the New World for fun, and then it evolved into a sort of career starter. I know the begginning of the story has flaws, and the story in general has flaws throughout. A lot of that stems from me trying to diversify my writing skills. The Yawm arc was focused on a deep dive for a character. The Giess arc was about setting up political factions and executing on the concepts. These are specific styles I'd never tried before, and I learned a lot from them. I'll continue this below.

Monsoon117

Thank you. My first work revolved around a very poetic, verbose kind of style. I wrote the entire novel in a similar kind of voice. In my opinion, while it imbued a sense of awe into the work, it made it hard to read overall. I got plenty of practice with style, however, so I can use it when necessary to really add a sense of impact when needed. I focus more on setting those situations up to make them appropriate.

MC definitely needs to learn primordial mana after that even if it is the hardest for him. Thanks for chapter

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Obolis is such a fucking ham. I haven't commented much in a long while, but I am seeing you get on a roll and I'm glad for that. It felt like the story got very much caught up in, and chugged along painfully through, the previous arc. The transition has been good, and it feels fresh. There's some brief tweaks and errata in grammar across the chapter, but it's just editing minutiae. The quality and tone is a definite improvement from where it was before the last arc, where I felt you were last very consistent. The previous arc was a bit hit-and-miss in comparison.

Looking forward to more! Quality is really good

'Their species that isn't suited for typical language' -> this sentence needs to be fixed. and 'To many people in the Empire' To -> Too

It seems that Florence and Ophelia have a closer working relationship then they let on. Also you have such a poetic way of writing inspiring pre battle speeches/dialogue.

Monsoon117

No problem. I started going to sleep and 8:00 P.M. and waking up at 4:00 A.M. in the morning. It's allowed me to eliminate distractions while I work, and the consistency gives me a backbone to be productive off of. So far, it's working wonders.

Lockwood

You're on a roll with these chapters. Keep up the great work and thanks for the chap! :D

Monsoon117

As always, let me know if you find any flaws in my work. I'm always looking to improve and diversify my skillset, and addressing flaws through feedback is one of the most important of those skills. Also, thanks for reading guys.
