Conor McGroarty

MC may have a bottomless “stomach” but he doesn’t have an endless mouth. Only so much he can eat and swallow at a time.

Apollo

That is essentially what a leader of a nation should do. Protect their people from outside threats. If the eldritch fear him, that is a wonderful starting point. I could certainly see it being a combination of both.

Bobby B.

My newest thought is that if he figures out how to do the chronomancy, he can speed up his subjective time, make a 2:1 of eventually, a 10:1 time crunch, and burn all that extra time pumping cheddar into his runes,

alexander julian

A weapon would be odd given the original professional boxer backround but it's not as of he really gets into melee a whole lot any more. His warrior backround is mainly just durability at this point (I say after him beat lehesions ass. A weapon would be a very interesting new direction for his build tho. I think what could inspire it is him find a material that exceeds his skin in tenacity or power or whatever. Currentky his fists are the hardest and give him a bunch of versatility

alexander julian

Honestly he could probably just build k e at this point but I'd be very interested in what his kids were like. God imagine his kids with Althea. A singularity that ignores resistances . Tears of etorhma revive combined with his crazy regen. Not sure if kids get the benefits of eldritch/armour implants. They certainly don't get schemas benefits

alexander julian

A leader class would be odd. I'd imagine it should be something about making the eldritch afraid coz he appears to be the only one that does

Code Reed

I agree with you about it being an anti-climax lol. Glad to hear you'll be addressing it in the future. Could try to explain why Schema himself doesn't do it. I'm sure he could set up a mechanism to launch an object on a ballistic trajectory, which all but undetectable in space. Anyway, your absolutely right in saying it won't solve the long term problem, but one way or another Guiss needs to be dealt with or the hybrids will never end. If this is going how I think then he'll start getting a grasp on the four fundamental forces of the universe. Gravity, Electromagnetism, strong/weak nuclear forces. That implies he'll be able to utilize an elemental furnace to its fullest extent. Add together Gravity, a dash of Electromagnetism, Qintacentince, and some nuclear force and he'll be making his own stars in no time. With the amount of power he has at hand I'm curious how far he could take it. Plus being his own dimension could mean he has a while bag of tricks he's not even aware of. It's entirely possible his next evolution (I can't remember if he still has one coming or not, it's been awhile since we've seen his Stat board.) could spark some kinda big bang event and turn him unto a Universe in and of himself. Who knows. Also, one suggestion. I think he should make himself a weapon of some kinda once he's done figuring out that dimension stuff. He's one deadly son of a bitch, but I can't help but think he could be more effective if he made something fitting for himself. Imagine for a second he relaxes his control on his height(again I forget his tall he is exactly) and maybe even makes himself bigger(if you can make yourself smaller you can make yourself bigger) and he's holding a club the size of a two story house made of his skin from tip to grip and is covered in Runes, and built in layers from the core out to increase density, durability, and destructive power. It would be beautiful.

Monsoon117

Interesting ideas. I don't know how well Schema or any ruling entity would react to a being with that kind of power though. I know I wouldn't want a walking nuclear bomb running around blowing planets up. That being said, I do want to address this possibility in the future. IMO, it's a very unsatisfying way of handling the conflict since it would be a major anticlimax. It wouldn't kill Lehesion either, and if they discovered Earth, they would 100% scorch it to the bone until nothing was left. I think Schema wouldn't take kindly to it either since he'd be a literal planet destroyer that acted without his direct control. It would weaken the rebels but at a pretty severe cost. These are just my initial thoughts, however.

Alex R

The mythic compendium orb thing explained it to Daniel back when he went into it.

Alex R

Daniel should he able to have kids as he still has a human shell, it probably would take some genetic engineering though.

BrauBaer

"Cataclysm's Emperor"?

Code Reed

"Legion of Man" :) "Men of the Legion"?

Apollo

It seems like it is leading up to it a bit, but Daniel needs a class. It is time for him to become the Emperor of Mankind that we know him to be. Time to build that Imperium of Man lol

Code Reed

Hmm. Maybe it's just outside his grasp conceptually? He was human once. The idea he could not just destroy cities, but entire worlds would be alien to him. Everyone else is used to Schema taking care of stuff like that. So it'll probably not occur to most of them that that's an option. He has the tools, the people, and the resources to make a hell of an attempt. I realize most of those suggestions were aimed at a future Daniel, one that has fully grasped what it means to BE a Dimension. However, the kenetic energy weapon is viable right now. So far he's either dropped hinself(someone with the density of a flipping mountain) or pocket rocks he made on the spot. What if he spent a few days out in asteroid fields of the Guiss system beefing up an asteroid with his skin, as well as as much other metal as he can manage. Then, since there's nothing to slow you don't in space, he can accelerate it towards Guiss. I'm sure they can outfit it with some kind stealth field so they can't see it until it's to late. By the time it reaches the planet(a trajectory calculated by torix) it could easily be fast and dence enough to kill off most of the planet with the Shockwave alone. As weird as it sound I can't help but feel your underestimating your our character a bit lol.

Wrath

Very great chapter I honestly can't wait to see what comes of these meetings and how they incorporate listen to the future of the story. I also wonder can Daniel have children because I never thought about it but I'm sure his children would be very powerful if he could.

alexander julian

I know! Class has been there for so long and he's just been like nah not yet

alexander julian

Go superman 10000 of everyone's ass? I can see some thing like towards the end of the story a big bad kills earth/loved characters/massively pisses him off so he eats a star to either become powerful enough or just to kill big bads home planet or something

alexander julian

I do feel that tho oof

alexander julian

'i was tempted fir a moment but I decided against it. I didn't think I could put smart the guy' *Daniel having been offered power in return for sparing Ruhls life before crunching his face in.* most iconic Daniel thing of all time. Has he changed his mind with time tho?

Monsoon117

Thanks. I try to keep things consistent and utilized. For now, I'm trying to introduce fewer mechanics and focus on fleshing out the ones already present in the story. We'll see how it works out.

Monsoon117

Destroying a planet is outside Daniel's grasp for now. Beaming particles at relativistic speeds would definitely slice through planets, but the energy required to launch something that fast is unwieldy. These are all good ideas for the future though, so thanks for discussing them.

Monsoon117

Thanks and fixed.

Monsoon117

I guess I'll finish this discussion with a quote I really like. "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson

Monsoon117

It will only act as a catalyst to showcase the very flaws that caused the individual's failures in their past life. If you think about it, we're all just enormous rifts of potential. How many people can genuinely say they realized their full ability in literally anything? Very, very few. Most people are bogged down by circumstance, a lack of motivation, or no mental grit. It's sad, but it's true. Most people realize a small portion of what they're actually able to do.

Monsoon117

I intended for him to be a subversion of the standard RoyalRoad and light novel trope when I made him. For some reason, people believe that if they were given a second chance, they would do far better than they did initially. IMO, that's a fantasy. The same problems that plagued the MC in their first life will plaque them in the second. The only difference is the scale of their failures. If you have a tremendous amount of power, it isn't going to make you a better person.

Monsoon117

Sometimes mutual betrayals can be mutually beneficial. Not often though.

drag0nreb0rn

Great chapter!!! I'm so ready to see Daniel get a class. Its ctaxy to think about how powerful he is without one. Lol.

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter. Time to get broken.

Zachary Smith

It’s very interesting how deep u go in the lore and mechanics of the universe. I love it man this is a great story and I’m excited to see Daniel rek ppl with his furnace. Thanks!

Code Reed

Not sure it wouldn't be possible. It's been said again and again his hunger is endless. Torix did off handedly mention Daniel could have a casual strole on the surface of the sun. Based on whats been said in this chapter alone I'd say he has the talent to manipulate the fundamental forces of the universe. So I have little doubt he could create artificial sun's, or beams of various particles. If he shot a line of particles at relativistic speeds he could cut a moon in half with the kind of power he has. What I'm wondering is why they don't just blow up Giess? All he has to do is did down to the core and either eat it or fuel a singularity until the core is gone. The planet would implode then explode from the force. Or maybe just pluck a moon from a nearby gas giant and gravity sling it towards Guiss. Or just cut out the middleman and create a projectile himself. Starting in space, maybe from outside the system, accelerate it to 1/3c and most, if not all of that planet is gone, depending on the prepared projectile.

Sanairb

Its almost guaranteed that Ruhl will try and betray them for its own benefit if they ally. Daniel just needs to have his own plan in place to betray Ruhl as well.

Tatsu

Noooooooooo the cliff ... you just had to write that as the last sentence of this chapter didnt you?

Bobby B.

So I'm kind of coming out of left field here, but if Daniel works on absorbing rads and heat like he can 'energy' he could, conceivably drop onto the giess system's sun and channel it into his runes, get all swoll on solar power and deprive lehesion of, what I think, is his main power.... Then again, that's probably WAY outside of his possible power range at the moment

Conor McGroarty

I just realized that Lehesion qualifies to be classified as an “isekai” protagonist. He left his previous world (timeline still counts as he can’t go back to it), got reincarnated by a “godly” entity with “cheats” and powers plus foreknowledge as they lived it. He checks the boxes fairly well, so it is interesting to think about

Rielgesh

Thanks for the chapter, loving how much more organized Daniel and his guild are getting with Obolis's influence, but putting their own spin on everything! "They shall create breeding grounds en masse, near rifts on Giess..." if you're trying to say making a bunch at once. "You'll need to train some more healers and other medical personnel."

Monsoon117

With great risks come great rewards. Technically, Daniel got his armor and a huge level/tree lead from allying with Baldag-Ruhl. Of course, I'm simplifying the exchange a bit, but the results don't lie. Just something to think about.

Sebas Tian

Yeah, allying with a Ruhl is a great idea xD. Worked so well last time he tried. Thanks for the chapter!

Idan tal

I always wondered how gravity was easy but time problematic considering he is a dimension. The idea that he didn’t took this “living dimension” as a fact but as a title explains a lot, it is a massive change in perspective for him.

Qrystof

Said it perfectly. I'm stoked to see Daniel's status, new trees, abilities, etc. This is a a huge upheaval and getting this scene in, a break it down and lay out tasks, was great to clarify our heroes positions before charging ahead.

Corwin Amber

'This will enchantment will last' -> 'This enchantment will last'

Conor McGroarty

Even though “allying” with Plazia (considering the fact that it’s relationship with the slimes is what it is) is probably impossible, it isn’t like subjugating it and imprisoning it is impossible though difficult. Doing that, they can then interrogate it for expertise and knowledge and have an advisor that is always trying to calculate and plan against you for its own benefit (kinda like Hannibal Lecter I suppose though smarter and even more dangerous). I think part of the reason Plazia didn’t ally with them is that using the energy Lehesion has is detrimental long term (or perhaps it’s as simple as wanting to be your own boss and calculating that your odds are better that way since they seem to be living supercomputers).

Monsoon117

I'm not actually burned out, surprisingly. This chapter, despite coming out twice as fast and being a longer chapter than the last, was actually much easier to write. I've just been steadily chipping away at my writing, day after day, week after week. I'm bound to get faster and better with that kind of schedule and practice, so I think these kinds of releases are the result of that.

rizen

This was a great "we plan at dusk" moment. The kind of directional reset necessary in a story after a major upheaval. I'm excited for a power up arc and a few smaller scale engagements before we go round 3 with the rebels.

Connor Alexander

I love it Monsoon, don't hurt yourself and keep up the good work~

Connor Alexander

Thanks heaps for the chapter! Lots of info to unpack and a tease at future Daniel. Love this novel and keep up the Awesome work!

Aleksander Lie

havn't read it yet, but ty for your currently frequent uploads, don't burn yourself out, but me as well as others here really enjoy your content. So thank You :) this is something that makes my day better, to read fantasy

s476

So much to look forward to, nice that there is more to the dimension thing :)

Kevin Ramos

Good, good, let the unlimited power flow through you Daniel~

Monsoon117

So this chapter is 7,400+ words, making it pretty colossal. I feel good about it, which made it much easier to write than the last one. That being said, this chapter deep dives into several of the mechanics of the story, and it unveils the perspectives and past of a few characters. Let me know if there's something off about it, and I'll do what I can to fix it.

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter!
