Minor typo. "Strength reminded me of boldness. **It** taking risks for great rewards" I think that is supposed to be "In"?

Scott Rutherford

crazy in a good way

pukeofhurl

hes pretty flexible so i bet he could contort into a manhole cover or just swim through the material and place it back behind him like he does for high speed swimming

Moar!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Monsoon117

That was changed when the ability was altered from Agony into Oppression.

Stephen Emrick

I thought of making a notebook with marble plates attached to leather binding once. Then I was gonna carve runes on it. It would've looked awesome on my book shelf but I never got around to it.

Argetsword

I would pay 100$ for it, that would be just so amazingly cool that it’s totally worth it

Monsoon117

IT would be expensive to make, but I could give it a shot. That would be just ridiculously awesome.

Argetsword

When you finish writing this I really want to have this as a physical book that looks like his grimoire

Monsoon117

Hell yeah!

love your stuff

And here I thought it was based on the amount of health he was burning with the ability... hmmm, yeah, some extra description would be nice =)

Monsoon117

I'll add that message before the evolution finalizes. Thanks for helping me add some clarity.

Monsoon117

The aura's damage is based on his maximum health, not his current health. I'll make that distinction more clear.

Tomislav Fistrić

Your novel is great man. Keep up the good work :) I just hope it won't end with this fight with Yawm!

Tomislav Fistrić

One more question - does that mean that less Daniel has health, the less damage he will deal? That would make sense since hp is dependent on mass - so more damaged he is, less mass he has and less damage he can deal with the skill - is that I correct?

Stephen Emrick

Chapter was very good and I loved it. Just one thing I know event horizon replaces oppression but no notification was given for it. Normally when a skill is replaced or evolved schema notated it. Only clue we got was "It worked just like oppression except it drained half the damage it dealt." I know I'm being a nitpick here but I point it out because I care.

Monsoon117

And also thank you for the consistent support Tomislav. I really appreciate it, and having someone subscribe to my novel for so long is a heartening thing.

Monsoon117

It's applied to the nearest tenth a point of damage at any moment. The increments of damage become shorter as the power does more damage. The damage is based on his health, not his enemies. Any body part within the aura experiences the damage. It's damage is dependent on a person's mass. If it is equal to Daniel's size, then they will take the aura's stated damage if they are within the aura. If they are larger, they may take more damage. If they are smaller, they may take less. Since Daniel can condense the aura now, that isn't really an issue anymore though.

Tomislav Fistrić

Hi Author, I am your avid reader since Schema came on RoyalRoad :) and all this time I just can't understand how does the percentage part of that skill of his that is now event horizon apply? What does 100% of health/min mean exactly? Who's health? His or his enemy? Is it DoT damage? How is it applied? Per second? I am sorry for so many questions, but this has been bugging me for MONTHS now...

Monsoon117

You are correct about the charisma. I forgot to factor that in during my calculations, so thank you for the reminder. the icy sensation was supposed to be a reminder that it was the same feeling as he gets when he puts his arm in the white energy that dungeon cores beam into the sky. I was struggling to make the description even remotely concise.

Ilan

Great chapter, the eldritch rune business in general is a bit confusing but you made it clear he doesn't know what he is doing, so that's fair. I'm not sure I understand this sentence :"The icy sensation of the white energy of the cores pierced into my arm." Is it referring to dungeon cores? His charisma should be higher since the malus lessened.

Pixelblade

If/when it becomes dimensional damage (which doesn't seem too much of a stretch) he'll start tearing up those pesky tank builds. (assuming dimensional resistance is rare)

Monsoon117

The telekinetic pads are why he's able to walk in most buildings. I'll mention more details about how his new height has effected him. That should help add a better sense of immersion.

MattMick222

thanks. it is them traveling in sewers that bothered me. Him using the Coming tide may make it moot. Buildings ould not hold him Doorways may not fit him I am fairly big guy little over 6'5 and i know i can not fit in a manhole. He is now beyond the size of Kessiah who was massive. Furniture will not fit him beds to small I guess armor is it's own bed

Monsoon117

It's physical for now. With further evolutions, other properties may come to it. The level 1000 strength perk adds 1% of his physical damage as true damage, so it being physical is a plus for now.

Monsoon117

Do you mean the visualization is off or that it's crazy in a good way?

Monsoon117

I'll add a few extra details here or there.

Monsoon117

I think it's because the end of the chapter is a little bit rushed. I'll go back and add a few details and a paragraph here or there. You're totally right about this being a big moment. A big moment deserves a big setup.

Monsoon117

Thank you very much. I really appreciate comments like this, because I've tried hard to make my story different. It's good to see that's paying off.

MAJmuffin

thanks for the chapter dude, I honestly coulnd't imagine this XD

Lord Freezy Pop

I think it has to do with his strength and dexterity stats along with his runes boosting those stats. Remember back in the blood cave (can't remember the name) in the beginning how his new size and weight did affect him until he increases his strength and dexterity.

MattMick222

Excellent Chapter I have 1 problem for a while his mass and size issues do not seem to be effecting him enough.

Deltoren

damn 100% of hp a minute along with 20k dmg a minute that ends up being about 333.334+1.666667% of hp a second. that is fucking ridiculous. just wondering is that ability event horizon still physical/chemical damage? or is it something like spacial or anti life damage. or is it half physical/chemical and half dark/blood/anti life for the hp drain

I noticed he has over 100 charisma now. Will he get the leveling perk?

Nice chapter. The end of it however... feels odd. It’s a cliffhanger yet its not, as if it doesnt belong in there. Finding Yawm should feel powerful to the reader, yet here it feels... bland.

BlissForgotten

I like it. I really do. I've never read a character that wears a dimension as armor, wielding gravity, flesh, and ferocity like an artist does a paint brush. This is up there with Wildbow and other great internet serials and I would be proud to walk in to a bookstore and buy this. Your characters are distinct, the readers can relate to them in my opinion, and the plot flows at a good pace. My hat is off to you sir.

Monsoon117

Also, I tried flexing my writing muscles this chapter. Let me know if it worked out. I take the likes in each chapter very seriously, and I try to decipher what is good and bad about each chapter. A quick comment telling me your thoughts helps with that process tremendously.
