Monsoon117

The assassin is a revenant, therefore it is an unknown. It is still alive for sure.

Ilan

Awesome fight, is the assassin still alive or because it's not an unknown he didn't get any xp ?

Slim Dakhch

yeah, the anwser to all your problems, is and forever shall remain, to release more chapters,

Monsoon117

The way I thought about it was like this. Yawm is obviously extremely dangerous. If they slip up at all, they lose their resurrection or their life. The assassin lady messed up on her third strike and was swatted away like a fly. If she miss timed anything, then she was instantly killed. She was nervous because of Yawm's presence and because she didn't want to die, which overwhelmed her a bit. The cleric was offering constant support with her stamina drain and anti-magic. I tried making the strain of that clear by showing how her slipping up for a few seconds caused Frode to get evaporated. I can add details to elaborate these points and make them clearer. Is there anything else you think I could change to prevent the fight from seeming unrealistic?

Dembed

I read this again and am only taking how korga died at face value. Somehow I have been thinking all this time that even in the last chapter how korga lost his ressurection. Moments how they left korga being pumelled like that in both times completely alone. I mean there are 3 vs Yamn, each time Yawm trying to focus on korga, the Girl with the Blood red Sword could have just cut yams hands or neck. I guess the Wizzard woman was always constantly keeping the Anti-Magic effect and that why she could not help out that much? Happy to discuss this on discord.

Maritropa

Yawm raised [a] hand; my neck snapped [with] a metallic ring; She stabbed her dagger into the side of my neck, [slicing down it].(either [sliding down it] or [slicing it]?);but I kept it attached [to] my armor; I found some other really minor mistakes here and there but eh, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maritropa

Aw man I wanted to save some chapters to binge read later on but these are too good!

Zeal Iskander

That was fucking lit.

Pixelblade

Now imagine he gave everyone on earth a conduit

MAJmuffin

pretty noice

Dembed

Yawm and his betrayal problems..., you would think since he is this old, he would have some sort of insight into what kind of a person Daniel is. Our mc totally spoke the truth even beforre the safety of their pact

Rockinalice

Loved the chapter thank you

Grevis165

Really well done chapter, loved all the complicated fighting! Yawm may not have been playing after all... but I wouldn't put it past him to make this all an act to pull out Daniel's true power and reveal his intentions.

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Stephen Emrick

No skill is ever truly useless. They all have uses. Especially when Daniel combines them and utilizes their full potential. Also this series is seriously addictive. We may need someone to make psa warning the dangers of reading Daniels exploits. Just kidding! But would be funny to see pee wee hermin or Arnold swartzinager doin just that for the lolz.

Great chapter had to read it twice, but i still can't imagine Daniel winning in the next fight. Seems like even with all the build up he will still be killed considering the damage Brim and Frode were able to do to him with Elessah. Then again he probably unlocked the luck perk with the extra life which gives him an edge. Also If Daniel die's so does your story which is unacceptable, So don't do that

Monsoon117

That's what I'm talking about.

Monsoon117

It expends mana to make a skill stay in effect even after Daniel has stopped willing the effect to happen. If he wanted a gravitational flux to keep air on Althea for example while they were floating through space, then he would use mana press to maintain the gravity well after he left.

MattMick222

Great chapter really compelling

xydra22

So he uses event horizon to buff himself by draining others, now he has an ability to buff/debuff everyone around him, making them fall into bloodlust. I'll need more details, but it seems he can still tell his allies where to go instead of them ripping each other apart.

Koby Mooney

Hope yawm forgives him, kinda fond of yawm

Nathan

Damn Skippy. War he wants. War he shall get.

Lolieat

Haze of Fervor seems a bit... useless, at least without specific conditions.

Brent Thomas

Amen. Anxiously awaiting the next chapter.

Lolieat

“By the will of Schema, will kill you before you turn into another Yawm.” v “By the will of Schema, I will kill you before you turn into another Yawm.”

Tyler Babcock

I honestly don't know what to say about this chapter. The amount of build up that went into making this so much more epic then it would be by itself, is just breath taking.I truly want to see what is going to happen next. Yet I felt satisfied enough that I would be okay (at least for a little while), with it ending there.

Brent Thomas

That was one of your best chapters to date. Bravo!!!

Alex R

What does mana press do?

Galenorla

I don't understand haze of fervor. Care to elaborate? I don't feel like this ability synergizes with the rest of the build, but that's just me.

Argetsword

More! That was a great chapter and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

That is one amazing chapter and the build up for it was just the right amount to keep us wanting more.

Kevin Ramos

Ah, may the trumpets sound your victory.

Monsoon117

I wanted the transition to feel more natural rather than forced. That's why it's taken so long to gather the skills involved in making it happen.

Matthew Kidd

Hell yeah! Sounds like he is finally starting up to his title.

Monsoon117

Long chapter at 3,550 words. Hope you guys enjoyed it as it was riveting to write.
