It's sad that he doesn't post as frequently because it is so good but atleast he isnt like Aleron who just goes radio silent and ignores people when they ask when chapters start back up again.

Monsoon117

Sorry man. I'm creating a video later today to explain the slower releases.

Stephen Emrick

Everyone suddenly turned emo. Depressed over a long wait for new chapter. Remember good things come to those who wait. Lots of people canpeddle rushed garbage but art takes time.

Pretentious Slime

It gets worse everyday, though not as bad as waiting for cyberpunk 2077 to drop.

Michael Berkowitz

Blacknail!!!!! I love Blacknail, I'm going through Daniel withdrawal now though :|

Monsoon117

I found an editing company recommended by a fellow author(Clear Madness, his work is awesome)

Pretentious Slime

U looken for an editor? I’m not an editor, just a question.

Monsoon117

Not often enough. Editing for publishing is killing me.

crusty pickle

how often do you release your chapters?

Monsoon117

My issue is workload. Kindle has a set limit where there royalty is best. It's between I believe 3$-10$. If I publish a 2,000 page book that takes years to write for 10$, then I'm doing around 6 to 7 times the amount of work as an normal author, but receiving the same amount of money. I'm not obsessed with money, but I have to have that handled if I ever want a house, retirement, or a family. It's important to be realistic about this kind of stuff that way I'm set in the long term.

Pretentious Slime

I used to read ALOT of physical books before moving onto online. The biggest one I read through was about 800 pages, and that honestly was quite overwhelming and awkward to hold in hand. Might just be me though, I would say that anything between 250-600 pages is a good sized book. Also now I read things that can be considered thousands of chapters long(web novels) so it’s not really overwhelming for me anymore. But I guess my point is, you shouldn’t worry to much about size as long as it’s not anything rediculous.

Monsoon117

I'm working on the manuscript as we speak. I have to edit it into a word format, which is taking quite a while. As for length, that would be a 1,500 page book. I'm thinking more like 24-30 chapters for my first book, or 240-300 pages.

Stephen Emrick

I still think you are ready to publish book 1 of the new world to amazon kindle. Opening another market of revenue for you ftom readers that would normally not see your work. Just the beginning till Yawm is killed is plenty enough. Stories like chaos seed chronicles are only like 30 chapters a book. Super short by comparison.

Monsoon117

Oh, so kind of like how Daniel slung the Yana Cluster in 153 What Once Was. In that chapter, Daniel pins himself down with a gravity well, letting him toss the giant monster like a ragdoll. I could implement that except on a more refined scale of sorts. His gauntlets per say.

Monsoon117

Thank you for this. It's flattering because I started writing the new world because of Randidly Ghosthound. I don't follow his own work anymore, but I still admire his work ethic as a fellow author and I believe he's impressive as hell. If I compared our fictions, I'd say my story is denser overall. It's a sacrifice he made to keep his volume up over the long term.

Pretentious Slime

So I get that the harbinger is a brawler, and that he uses his bare fist, no other melee weapons. But his origins in fighting come from boxing. A sport we’re one wields boxing gloves. I know that the harbinger has natural armored gauntlets, but couldn’t he just costume make better ingraved versions out of his armor specifically for brawling/boxing? The reason I bring this up is because of his weight and control of gravity, which if used properly can make even the heaviest of weapons feel light as a feather. Can danial make super weighted gauntlets for fighting that can be wielding primarily with gravity? (The idea here is that they weigh a fuck tone, so gravity is NEEDED as an assist to even wield them properly) personally I think it’s a really cool idea, it’s kinda reminiscent of berserk, and how gutz wields the 400pound sword with a single hand, doing what no other man thought possible.

Pretentious Slime

Sometimes I forget that it isn’t our cool ideas that feed an authors motivations, it’s our words of incuragement. I haven’t been doing enough of that and I realized that I wouldn’t be a true supporter if I didn’t let you know how much I really appreciate your work. I like your story because it is unique in a way that it never seems to go bland or drag on for however many chapters. It’s to the point but long enough that the pacing seems to fit each situation perfectly. I love how you go about developing each character without vering away from the main story. I read randidly ghosts hound For a while, but it cannot be compared to this. When you put both fictions together, yours would definitely come out on top, it has proven far less bland and intereting despite having less chapters. That, in my opinion is how you can differentiate good from bad between two fictions. Thank you, for always making me crave for more. For expanding upon an already great story, and for responding to some of my comments.

Monsoon117

This comment made my day Connor. Thank you.

Connor Alexander

Oh hey Monsoon, sorry it’s late but thanks for the chapter. Had exams, and man is your book a boon. You’re story is a mix of everything I like and desire in a novel, and your tale literally motivates me to do better and better myself. Thanks so much for the posts.

Monsoon117

Thanks for the fix.

Monsoon117

Thank you and fixed.

Monsoon117

Thank you and fixed.

Monsoon117

Oh god. I've finally done it. I've created an explicit innuendo without meaning too. I changed it to, "Although Eonoth pulling me into another dimension left a bad taste in my mouth..."

Jordan U

“Although Eonoth’s coming left a bad taste in my mouth”... now i know what you mean and all but. Lol

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

MattMick222

good chapter...."You? Even if our levels matched, you don't stand a change against me ----chance

Except the old ones and schema are universe spanning entities, their conflict is over the fate of the universe itself.

Loric

Do the stats feed both ways though? It might be only one way with endurance being the start. The stats would still feed into the ones below them on the chain but starting at the bottom of the chain might not affect the top. Idk just guessing

If the cipher becomes less and less effective the higher the stat is, then is not the best solution to start at the lower end of the stat feed chain. That way the feed chain will give more to those stats that are already high (harder to increase). Versus the opposite, where it would be faster to gain the raw amount of stats but harder to gain the higher end of each stat later.

I really hope that this story expands from Geiss to the entire (known) universe itself and not only focus on the Old Ones and Schema and ignore many potential story arcs that could be created. I've read stories that are fantastic and had a lot of potential growth but ignore the macro-verse and instead confine themselves to a micro-verse surrounding only the MC (I don't mean shifting POV's, I am referring to giving a sense of things happening outside of the MC's perception). I am really enjoying this story and hope to see many more chapters.

pukeofhurl

In the famous words of kenshiro "you are already dead *dramatic pointing*" on a serious note your actually not wrong an object with enough mass could shift the axis of a planet which means his mere arrive brings a cataclysm the only offset to this would be to use his weight distribution skill to cast his weight evenly across an entire planet other it would distort the balance if he truly weighs as much as a star for his size

Lolieat

At this rate Daniel's gonna be so damn heavy he messes up the tilt of whatever planet he goes on. That's a REAL planet destroyer.

MAJmuffin

nice, we're going to see side characters develop some more too :D

"you don't stand a change" change "change" to chance.

Monsoon117

I can tone it down some. I wanted it to come across as teasing for the most part. I'm also starting the #KessiahRedemptionArc

I don't understand why Kessiah keeps being looked down on and shat on by supposed friends. I understand giving each other shit, but it just comes off way more mean spirited than funny or what seems useful to the story at all. Thoughts?

BlissForgotten

With that much endurance, do we really have a life expectancy for him? Because if he's effectively immortal barring unnatural causes, wields powers that can break worlds, then I would hesitate to call him human.

BlissForgotten

Good chapter, Daniel is starting to grasp the implications that he's for all intents and purposes a minor (on the path to being a major) god.
