Chikkane

I would love to see him create the infinity gauntlet as a joke.

s476

cant ask for more than that!

Monsoon117

I'll do my best, but no promises.

s476

next chapter already today?

Monsoon117

It could improve his power to immeasurable levels. It could also warp him into a physical manifestation of the concepts he jots down, deforming him into an abomination. It could also reprogram his mind, forcing him to incorporate certain concepts into his makeup. It's a testy, dangerous thing to mess with the cipher. Yawm's a perfect example.

Monsoon117

Thank you Corwin.

Pixelblade

That's what I assumed. Wouldn't upgrading those normal runes to the cipher give him a powerboost?

Monsoon117

He's got the cipher and normal, watered down runes on him. He sihpons the normals runes during fights. Those are the glyphs that he 'detonates' for bursts of energy.

Monsoon117

This made me laugh far harder than I thought it would.

Monsoon117

It will be elaborated on in the next chapter. And there is a blurb for the legendary tree, it's just in the next chapter.

Monsoon117

He's made several thousand of these kinds of enchantments. He can eyeball at this point. (When he made the medals for the legion, made all the enchanted jewelery for the legion, etc.) In this case he just went all out and it was a capped item.

Magnus Gullhav Leikvik

And 50 000 END mark coming soon. *shivers*

Anon_Anon

No schema blurb for completing the legendary tree? Also, how does Daniel create an item that perfectly matches with the level of the intended user? Is it a side effect of carving the dimensional cipher with the user in mind, schema's assist, trial and error, or something else?

Corwin Amber

thanks for the chapter

Corwin Amber

'gialgathen's man footprint' -> should be 'mana'

Magnus Gullhav Leikvik

Theromancy ---> Thermomancy ? And great chapter. I like how he simply losses himself in training.

Pixelblade

Great chapter! Does Daniel still have runes for enchancement during fights carved into him? If so I think it's been a while since he upgraded them. I could also have completely forgotten though.

Maritropa

Star Forger? Shit, dude's gonna forge the goddamn Infinity Gauntlet if left unsupervised for 5 minutes.

Monsoon117

Yeah, I loved that scene, and I used it for inspiration for sure. I also thought it was appropriate.

Monsoon117

It will be elaborated on in another chapter. I've got an idea of explaining it that doesn't require exposition or an info dump. It's going to be cool.

Connor Alexander

GOD YES, this one of those chapters I didn't even know I was waiting for! I liked the fact that you've been getting Thisbey to be a rather villainous buisnessman more than a powered villian. He fits his role rather well, and I hated him every time he popped up. Also I am glad to see that the Thaumaturgic components of Daniel's skills have popped back up, and now into a skill that suits his path of evolution. Man i wonder how that Sovereign Skill will work ~ will it be a ruling type of ability, or a ability that is catered to the user to an absolute tee? Anyway, thank you for the chapter Monsoon, hope we aren't stressing you out too much!

I like the Bane reference.

EitherWay

Noice

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter. Really enjoyed the chapter. Thought it was well done.

Monsoon117

Thanks. Fixed.

Monsoon117

treepoints are what you get when you gain a skill level. It's interchangeable with skillpoint.

Gardor

So he's Bane now?

Neal OHara

Small typo, "tempuratur manipulation" instead of 'temperature manipulation', I think?

Alex Kagan

Daniel usually gets a refund of unearned skillpoints when combining multiple skills, so I was just wondering how many skillpoints are in a treepoint.

Monsoon117

He's made knives before. This is just him using skills he's had for ages and mixing them with a few new ones he has. I'll review the building scene and add some more details though. I have a good idea of how it happened, but I might not have described it real well.

Felipe Andrade

Loved the chapter! What a cliffhanger! The description of the process of making the dagger felt a bit confusing and rushed to me. I feel like it can be a bit improved, making it more clear and more descriptions. I might not remember it right, but the making of the rifle sounded much more solid, more planned and intended. The dagger seems like he stumbled on it as a surprise. I'm trying to explain it better but I'm probably just being more confusing :/

Monsoon117

I'll add mention of the temperature manipulation with the Star Forger skill.

Monsoon117

I'll change it so that he mentions making a weakened version of the knife. Thanks for pointing this out.

Monsoon117

I think it's good as is. I really want to move on with what I have planned. Otherwise I'll never get this finished.

Love that a new chapter came out been reading lord shadow and that makes the mind wonder when are favorite tank becomes a true God

Synben28

I hope we get an explanation of how a Sovereign skill differs from a class next chapter. After all, I remember a while ago you said that you can make your own class by merging a legendary skill with a couple mythical skills. So I thought that was the next progression for his skills. Also, I think the Star Forger needs something added to the list of enhancements it gives. Right now I don't think there is any mention of temperature control in the skill, which wouldn't make sense with thermomancy being a part of it.

Great chapter. How can kessiah use the knife with that level req?

Gabriel

I REALLY liked this, I think this and the last chapter go really well together and if the last chapter is refined a bit more I think these two chapters can really stand out and be a moment of change for Daniel and the story. Yeah, I think it turned out really, really good. Good feel and brings me right into the world

Monsoon117

Thanks for all the help tytan of blades.

s476

Last line makes me.hungry for more, even though I didnt expect this one this late in the night (eu time)

BladeTytan

And another, different, one. ("Hey, just a heads up. If I see you wearing gialgathen skin again, I'm feeding you to an organ caterpillar. Their deep in silver territory.") They're deep in silver territory*

BladeTytan

Monsoon, you did it again. (I rolled my shoulders, "Just like you did with Delilath? I already told you. I could give two fucks about fame.") Couldn't give two fucks*

Kevin Ramos

Nice

Monsoon117

It would be difficult. Their different species, and neither are normal for their race either.

.TheFear

i could see the usual Daniel in that conversation, it was very satisfying. The chapter as a whole was excellent.

Alex R

I was going to ask this on the last chapter. But what about Daniel and Althea is genetic, or what I mean is if they had a kid what is inheritable?

Monsoon117

This is good. It was tough to get it write....I'll see myself out now.

Jess Koch

Loved it

His conversation with Thisbey feels much better now .w.

Alex R

Ooh yeah I cant wait for the next chapter.

Sebas Tian

ooooooo this looks juicy.

Zeal Iskander

Very nice chapter, fits better with what we know of Daniel. Glad you reworked the previous chapter a bit. Also... that last line.... *Slurp*.

Monsoon117

Let me know what you guys think about the chapter. This one was hard as hell to write, mainly because getting the conversation with Thisbey right was a pain in the ass. After that, I sailed through it in about two hours. I like how it turned out, but let me know what you guys think.
