Alex R

Monsoon said in another chapter that Yamn would still destroy Daniel

Daniel Aziz Awan Goncalves

I honestly don't think so, it took an army of thousands, Althea, Nox, Daniel and Torix, a team full of breakers, ajax and a bunch of luck to kill him, like if I had to be honest it was luck. Daniel managed to use Yawm's strength against him. But imo he still wouldn't stand a single chance against Yawm in a 1v1

Shannon Smith

"He's a living god". So was Yawm. Now he's particles, lol.

Pretentious Slime

Oooh I read about those. Yeah their like launched from satellites and can be equivalent to a large meteor crashing into earth. Except more condensed.

Alex R

He did take over a couple of Yamn's minions when he died.

Pretentious Slime

Danial is probably immune to shock wave damage. So long as it doesn’t have enough force to somehow travel through his body. If it did somehow travel through his body, he would probably be vibrating quite a bit since he is basically made out of metal.

Pretentious Slime

Why do shockwaves kill people so easily? Because humans are like 70% water. When a shockwave travels through you, it kinda messes with your water. Lol

Pretentious Slime

Fun fact, shockwaves, if powerful enough, can kill. Ever watch the fight of hulk V Hulk buster in that one avengers movie? If you haven’t, there is a part we’re iron mans hulk buster fist collides with great force into the hulks fist, causing a shockwave powerful enough to break glass and push people over. This technically should have killed anyone that close because shockwaves can rupture organs and tear your body up from the inside. But it’s a Disney marvel movie so that didn’t happen to the innocent bistanders. Another good example would be, explosives. Ever wonder why some people who are caught up in an explosion have little injury but are still dead? Now you know.

Alex R

Plus he struggled to contain Daniel's final fight until he just had the shield explode.

Alex R

I'm not surprised he took a lot of damage. He turned himself into a rod from god which IIRC have destructive force comparable to nuke. And the rods themselves get obliterated when they hit the ground.

Pretentious Slime

I would say that it would be much more realistic to write that his re-entry made a few shockwaves so powerful that they parted the clouds. While sonic booms come from an object going beyond the speed of sound, shockwaves can be formed from an object or energy pushing with a great amount of force against air.(my knowledge in this area is very limited but I did my best to be accurate.) a nuclear explosion would cause a shockwave so powerful that you could actually see it travel across a large area.

Kurt A

Im pretty sure that would just be the result of being at such a high level compared to those suppressed.

Pretentious Slime

Your welcome, I also didn’t add that the reason for a rail round not causing a sonic boom is because it’s able to cut through the air with ease do to its design. There are probably a few other reasons too, but that’s about as far as I read.

Monsoon117

Thanks for the fix. I researched it a bit, but I got caught up with one of the more common myths about it I suppose. It's one of the dangers of introducing a concept. Either way, I'll edit the description to match my newfound understandings, and thanks for the help.

Connor Alexander

I forgot to send in a thanks for the chapter! I wonder how you are going to show power for this godly character, as this gialgathen would have to have functional magics and powers of a higher order without schema's system. Will the function differently, like his commander in the tournament, with odd effects and overwhelming power

Pretentious Slime

I guess what I’m getting at is, I can understand 2 sonic booms. But more than that and it just simply doesn’t make that much sence. However, if it is because his armor isn’t exactly the most aerodynamic hunk of metal. That would probably be good enough for explaining. Either way, sonic booms don’t mean +speed. It’s possible to shoot a rail round out of the electromagnetic rail cannon at 5,000miles an hour and have a complete lack of sonic boom.

Pretentious Slime

Ok so I looked it up because I was curious. Apparently, In order for an object to make multiple sonic booms, it would have to be quite big or be shaped oddly. I read an article about the falcon 9 creating 3 shockwaves as it landed. That’s because the front and back of any airplane/shuttle create shockwaves when they exceed 1.4time the speed of sound. Were did the third come from though? There are fins on the falcon nine for guidance. They protrude far enough that they were able to produce a sonic boom. Normally people can’t hear the second sonic boom because it happens in rapid fire succession.

Pretentious Slime

I guess I forgot that it wasn’t too long ago that Danial and Yawm squared off. The disparity in knowing how low their chances were even before yawm woke up. It’s easy to hype things, but sometimes overhypeing can cause people to overestimate. Still, no one can deny that since then, danial has become much stronger. I was surprised that he even took damage crashing into Giess. But I guess you would have to be going pretty fast to create multiple sonic booms.

Pretentious Slime

The last bit of the yawm ark reminded me of Hunter x Hunter Antinium ark. Just dark and phycological.

Pretentious Slime

Despite their lack of combat efficiency, to me it Doesn’t seem like speakers should be underistimated or taken lightly. The speaker guy leading the first Giess tournament was able to overpower the gialgathens movements(without even touching him) that danial was fighting. I would bet that it would take quite a bit of willpower to escape something like that.

Monsoon117

Speaker's get enhanced social nuance, trustability, willpower, intelligence, and they can manipulate other people easily. Their a charisma/intelligence class for the most part, with an emphasis on talking and smoothing over social relations between various cultures and schema's system.

R. D. Schubert

Thanks mate! Keep 'em coming!

Alex R

That makes sense. I guess I was putting part of the Breakers abilities on Fringe Walkers. What does a Speaker give you? I think it's the only one left that you havent said what they give.

Alex R

Monsoon117

Just to verify, but Yawm would still smash Daniel if they fought on a level playing field. Yawm is still stronger, has access to broken magic, and has healing and toughness that rivals Daniel's. Yawm only lost because he wasn't trying to vaporize them from the start. He put on a show to capture Ajax. He ended up miscalculating though, getting injured, and ended up paying a steep price for it.

Monsoon117

I think he meant more for the 'feel' of the arc rather than the actual plot details. This is also the third arc in the story involving a big boss enemy.

Monsoon117

So Fringe Walkers aren't given true damage. Yawm had stuff that did true damage, but that came partway from his Breaker class and Etorhma's runes. Fringe walkers are given longevity bonuses, enhanced aoe effects, survivability bonuses, extra raw stats from a higher level cap, and are given mental resilience enhancements. Breakers are given a higher resistance cap, access to arcane magic, exclusive single target abilities, some antimagic properties, and bonuses to single target spells/debuffs/etc. I hope this makes sense.

Pretentious Slime

Some might say that a breaker doesn’t sound as good as a fringe walker, but breakers would most likely be the ones to challenge people like yawm.

Anon_Anon

From what we learned so far, Breakers are made for 1vs1/PvP scenarios. It seems like they have a lot more single target damage and gimmicks (ex: that one Stamina drain ability one of the breakers have, true damage, etc.) which makes Althea's kit perfect for a Breaker. Fringe Walkers are suited for AoE/PvE scenarios since they cleanse entire worlds. Presumably, they would have a lot of AoE abilities, have high survivability, and some ways of preventing/counteracting eldritch from infecting their bodies.

Kurt A

Breakers probably also get abilities that reduce their targets survivability, wither by locking them in place or perhaps some unpurgeable DOT abilities. They may also have ways to prevent injuries from healing, though Daniel probably has enough hp region to counter that anyways.

Pretentious Slime

Sounds about right. Though fringe walker’s will always have some sort of edge over breaker do to them often haveing a better means of survivabilty.

BrauBaer

Thanks for the chapter.

Pixelblade

They both have advantages, with fringe-walker possibly being stronger, but it mostly depends on how compatible the class is with a person's build. I think.

Pixelblade

Breaker gives you arcane damage, but that seems a bit redundant for Althea with her armor penetration ability. As for the other stuff they get I don't really know, but it was mentioned that they make the best 1v1 fighters/duelists in Schema's system, possibly even being able to beat a fringe walker in a solo fight. Fringe walkers on the other hand get all the AoE goodness. Their builds are geared toward fighting hordes of Eldritch and depopulating entire fringe-worlds.

Alex R

What does Breaker give you that Fringe Walker does not? We know Fringe Walkers give the true damage. But why would you become a Breaker over a Fringe Walker?

Pretentious Slime

Yeah he could probably take on yawm single handedly. Though it would probably be a difficult fight for the both of them. Especially if, somehow, yawm has enough time to launch one of his atomic attacks. Yawm can also heal from just about anything too if there is an abundance of plant life around.

Pretentious Slime

I think the one piece doflamingo ark fits perfectly here.

Alex R

I also forgot about the Legion juggling the event horizon damage heal

pukeofhurl

On other hand this is better than buu saga in someways XD also monsoon cell saga was my favorite as well :D

pukeofhurl

Just saying this is nothing like buu saga... if anythingnits freeza ressurrection arc of super since the god is back from the dead leading new armies and then even that isnt a great comparison the person closest to being buu is actually daniel... that regen as a weapon was how kid buu destroyed planets without killing himself

Anon_Anon

On a side note, I'm kinda surprised Torix isn't asking for any corpses to re-animate since he probably outleveled his old minions. Or maybe he's using his own sources outside of Daniel's view.

Alex R

He did with Althea and Hod and Torix's help. I'm asking more of a 1v1.

Itisn1tmyname

he already did though?

Alex R

Can Daniel currently defeat Yamn? I think if he couldn't, he'd atleast be able to give close to as good as he gets.

Jacob Santos

I guess buu might be a good comparison if you are facing an impossibly powerful opponent. Probably be more cell saga.

Monsoon117

it should be our. Good catch.

Anon_Anon

"He is the oldest and strongest of your kind, the mightiest of us all" Isn't it "our kind" or was he actually referring to Daniel?

Monsoon117

Thanks for the comparison. I love DBZ, though the cell saga was my favorite.

PloofDoodle

Another god

Pretentious Slime

Yawm, god of flesh. Yes, yawm was considered a living god and we had an entire story ark for him. But I’m not sure if yawm could replicate this gods feats. (I wrote this with hesitation because yawm isn’t exactly the most godly of people.)

Jacob Santos

Buu saga

BladeTytan

Daniels' whole build is designed to kill gods/overpowered enemies, the huge health pool portion combined with the overkill reflection attack Perk deals huge damage, and then the regen to heal himself to fighting condition rapidly (and if the perk has no cooldown, use it again).

s1ntec

Pretty sure the part you are currently missing is yet to be written

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Alex R

Hes a living god. Which means Daniel and Althea will make chump change of him in a few chapters.

Loric

Wait is lehesion the one that fought for second class citizen rights for the espens and the other gialgathen was the one leading the slavery charge? Why is lehesion back with the skyburners or am i missing something?

28th00

Wouldn't be the first time he killed a Living God... Wait, isn't he technically one too?

Kevin Ramos

Well would you look at that, another exp boost for the mc

Thomas dupre

Wasnt yawm considered a living god as well ? just add another to the resume lol

Monsoon117

How so?

Jess Koch

Sounds like a cute way of saying third

Alex

Things are heating up in the New World fandom...

Pixelblade

Amazing chapter... Good thing we have a slayer of pseudo-divinities close at hand

Pretentious Slime

I’m gonna read this and then say first because that would mean that I was the first to read this to it’s full extent before saying first.

Monsoon117

Fixed the Ital and Bold words littered throughout the chapter. Grammarly won't let me format it, so I inject those words to let me know where to bold or italicize text. Forgot to change it before posting this time.
